  3. I know right... these say they have a 200 rms 900 max but 70 rms is prolly a more believable rating... I'm suprised I haven't ripped them in 2 yet but they're takin 1000 rms like a champ... Haven't taken any pictures with it in the truck yet... my memory card on my phone was full when I took these I just haven't got around to it yet but soon.... U know anybody else running a boss IQ3KD1 ???
  4. My daily driver is an 89 chevy Z71 single cab truck... totally stock inside and out... looks like a paw paw truck right now but for an 89 model its CLEANNNNNN!!!! Got a list of upgrades if anybody gives a rat's a@! Im gonna keep it mostly stock with the exception of a 6" Fabtech lift & sum 20's & 33's I've added some billet to the interior haven't taken pics of that yet... Had some equipment laying around so I decided to make good use of it and put it in my daily driver since I don't really see spending much mula on a stereo on a truck that i'm only in 20 minutes every day.... Pioneer Premier Deh P610 bluetooth headunit... bought this wasn't laying around mtx 4x6's front and rear 2 merlin audio dvc shallow mount subs boss iq3kd1..... i've had this amp for a long time originally bought it new for 150 bucks when boss first released these amps and by far this is the only amp boss has ever made that was worth a dam.... it really does make alot of clean power but not the claimed 3k.... on with the pics!!! I love this thing... 2 cubes after port and displacement tuned 36 hz... Ok this is all I got so far I'll post some more pics of the truck and a few more with the box in the truck but thats basically it I didn't spend alot of time on the stereo just kept it clean and simple but it SLAMS way harder than I ever expected especially with the cheap subs it doesn't dissapoint...
  5. Just as rule of thumb always match the fuse under the hood to the amount of fuses in the amp. Technically speaking tho the 80 amp fuse will work with an amplifier than can draw up to 160 amperes of current, the reason for this is because a fuse will only blow if there is a direct short or you have drawn more than twice the rated amperage across the fuse example 80 amps x2 = 160 . There is also another factor that could make any fuse fail pre maturely and that is heat can cause some types of fuses to become weak..... anl fuses usually aren't affected by heat and thats why they're the most dependable under the hood. Hope this helps....
  6. okay... im a goober... figured it out.... it was a big DUH!! no need to reply unless u tell me how to delete a topic that i've posted.....

Don't hate on the slow build process and no car audio pics just yet but i'm building/restoring this thing from the outside in and its taking forever and the list of upgrades just keeps getting longer..... as with any project ya'll know how that goes... So here goes a list of upgrades and the list of stereo components that I will be starting on shortly... already have some of the equipment all MTX cuz the shop I work for is an authorized dealer 93' 4 bolt main 350 bored .40 over ( there's a long list of internal engine parts im not going to include here) 91' front end swap upgrading all lighting exterior is completely shaved... not yet but working on it posi rear end with disc brakes Lokar billet hood release Lokar billet e-brake re-located in between seats ( removed factory e brake from kick panel area to make more room for components) 18x9 (front) 19x11 (rear) black corvette z06 wheels with eagle F1 tires.... already have these i just haven't taken pics.... still gotta get wheel spacers 3" drop in front & 5" in the rear.... already lowered the rear 3" by way of a custom set of leafs still gotta do the front... i'm kinda waiting on finishing the suspension until the stereo is done cuz the box and batts are gonna be heavy 2- MTX TX6001 6.5 component sets (doors) 1- MTX TX4001 4" component set (dash) 1-MTX TX5001 5.25 comp set (kicks) 1- MTX TE4001D (subs) 1- MTX TE1004 (mid & hi's amp) 4- MTX TR7515-22 15's will be walled in a 6th order .... or just ported tuned at 32 gotta make up my mind 4 optima batts iraggi or excessive amp 300 amp alt. all stinger 1/0 Pioneer AVH4100DVD i have about half of the equipment already... but here goes some pics so far remember no audio in yet but i'm gonna start as soon as its all in primer and ready for paint... this is where it all began.... new engine built by me 91 core support fabbed up some custom radiator mounts filler plates for gap inbetween new grill and old fenders will be installing all new clear corners turn signals and upgrading hl's to h4's eaton locker 3.73 gears 01 disc brake rear end I will be starting the interior in a few weeks by fabricating a new dash over the old dash with fiberglass I've already ordered 5 gal resin and 25 yards of 24 oz wove mat. I've also... re wired the factory power window motors with 10 ga and re routed all wiring from the doors to the center console area with custom lock and window switches each window motor now has a seperate relay for up and down located and fused in the glove compartement area... windows work so much faster now its unreal.... i'll get pics of all this when i start on the inside and the stereo build.... plenty more pics to come... yall tell me what you think...
  9. yep that'll do everything you need except remote start.... there are alot of good alarm manufacturers to choose from any two or three channel alarm with a shock sensor will work... personally I don't venture away from autopage or any of directed's brands viper, clifford python..etc.
