  1. It's a problem in the alternator. He's not saying the belt is slipping..... he's saying at low idle his voltage is dropping causing the car to run crappy. I have the same problem with my Integra. You start out at low 12's on voltage then when you give it gas or start to move you get 14+ volts and a engine boost. I turned up my idle and all to no avail no it just drops to like 5-600 rpm's when it's dialed to 800. From my research on this it could also be the throttle position sensor (TPS) but there's been no mention of lose of Alt voltage with a TPS problem.

  2. I Just got a pair thru madisound the 4 ohm versions.. VERY nice sounding mid range! And it has some really nice lows free air (doors). I would reccomend Madisounds 4 ohm unless you plan to run multiple and just need 8's to work out impedence.

  3. Type R's all day. Make sure you get the newest model they have available now. Grab the d4 model will wire to 1 ohm and the rise will take you to 2 or so then you will make rated power. You can buy a prefab as long as it meets air specs for the sub requirement. The port tuning is up to you but most prefabs are 35 hertz tune. Just double check before you buy one.

  4. Partsexpress is running a coupe sales right now on speakers as low as $20 a pair plus shipping like $33 a set look below in the bargins section there's links IIRC. The speakers they sell are mostly @8 ohm. I bought some 4 ohm models from Madisound.com So check PE first then compare at Madisound for 4 ohm models. I bought 6 inchers Aurasound NS6-255-4A 6" Paper Cone Woofer 4 ohm Alsoyou can get a adapter templete or just make your own! Most Car audio shops should have some lying around the can give or sell you.

  5. Couple things to check.... your low pass crossover setting on the new amplifier turn it up to it's maximum number they come shipped all the way down. Secondly the starting ohm load and the finally ohm load after impedence rise. Playing the sub outside of a enclosure has a huge effect on rise and can put you out of rated power range. But first check the new amp setting get some clamp measurements if possible cause that will tell you alot ( atleast your starting ohm load via a multimeter).

  6. From what i'm looking at you have circular openings in the rear deck into the cabin. Depending on the angle of your rear window you should be able to load of that window to the front dash. What i'm saying you could do is build a box long ways for 2 10 facing thru that deck ported perhaps. It would have to start over the shock towers and bellow that box you could make your amp/extra battery enclosure. Should leave you a fair amount of trunk space and help your score out some. Take a couple measurements of that pictured area between the shock towers and above them. Since everyone thinks you have a gas tank there could become a lethal stealth design...

  7. Go with Alpine for good sound quality. But if your going to be doing cosmetic as well as good sound pick out your Sub amps first and then do research on the companies mid/high amps. Best way to base your decision.
