  1. r they pretty close in price to the FI BL?
  2. are your rca's ran close to your power wire? if so put em on opposite side of car wrap a wire around rca's and ground it. if neither work its most likely internal in your headunit. r u running a 4 or 2 channel amp?
  3. don't wana clip. just saying if i wanna turn gains up i want it to be able to take a lil bit of clipping.
  4. if its going inside of the vehicle you're gonna want a good vent or just get yourself a sealed battery. as far as it being enough that depends on your alternator size, big 3?, and stock battery up front.
  5. well DC's it is. i was prolly gonna go with em ne ways just cuz i wanna try em for my self. thanks for the input though. i'm still waiting for rusty to email me back with prices so as long as its somewhat around the price of a BL then im gonna go with em. first time with these though, so what kinda options should i go with? like i said they'll each have an AQ1200D and i wanna be able to really push em hard when i want to and give em a lil clippage.
  6. Alrite. so i'm eventually gonna upgrade from my two ssd 12's to either 2 Fi BL 15's or 2 DC level 4's, just one 15 for now though until i get my electrical up to par. they'll be powered each by there own AQ 1200d. i'm very familiar with Fi's subs but never tried DC, heard great things though. should i try out the Level 4 or just stick with the BL. if you think the DC's are any better then i'll go with those just for the fact of trying out a new woofer.
  7. this is a local guy that sells this on ebay. great stuff. put it in between your panels and body and it works miracles. for example: what i did was glued the flat side to the inside of my doors and put the door panel over. make it fit a lot more snug (LIKE A GLOVE!) and soundproofs the doors. car is also alot quieter driving around. go to ebay and search this: Home Theater Sound Proof Walls Insulation Convoluted 10
  8. hell yea. u got two weeks of free leave after that long plane ride back. enjoy it and do work.
  9. its kinda dumb but this is how it was back in the day of cheater amps. us amps and others had amps that were rated low at 4 ohms but would put out alot more power at lower ohms. its good for you if you have a low 4 ohm rating. which in your case you don't. you'll just have to make up for it with actual install and know-how. what events are these by the way? local shops?
  10. depends on what you mean by broken? check fuses. if blown then send it back to suckfonics. lol
  11. what kind of car? i've got enough to go from the alt to the batt. but its was in a focus and its prolly not long enough unless you've got a small engine bay or the batt is close to the alternator. go to your local audio shop and if its a good shop they usually have used 0 gauge laying around that they'll sell ya.
  12. perfect timing. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=38527 he's trying to get rid of some.
  13. most of the time you can get away with not replacing the stock wires but simply adding on to them. if you have the stock 4 gauge plus another 4 gauge added on its essentially 0 gauge, not exactly but close.
  14. audioque 2200d. 2200 watts true rms for only $389. i doubted these things until i got one and its the best deal i have found on an amp
  15. take a wire brush to the metal and make sure there is no paint where the terminal ring will go and make the ground as short as possible. anything over 12" is kinda long. other than that it'll work fine
  16. the ohm load will be a little over 1 ohm with impedance rise factored in. it'll be fine for daily. ssd's sound good but if you're going for sq get the FI Q's.
  17. no they don't make these any more. they are great sq subs though. i used to have a pair and i loved them. fed em 1000+ clean watts. go to realmofexcursion.com and go to the ascendant audio section. its filled with videos of this speaker. in my opinion its they're best speaker they ever made. well until that SMD sub comes out.
  18. ^^^^^. I believe it is a TORX driver, size T50. if you go to autozone or other auto store they'll have em there for a couple bucks.
  19. How much did it cost you to get FI to recone it for you? I've got a 12" SX and i've emailed FI but they're pretty busy these days. Nice install, Sounds good.
