    Even besides the particular drop Im asking about, this song is a great recording, with a lot of great bass + mids-highs....

    But if somebody will please, run this on one of your programs, and tell me what it drops to, at 4:03 ??? Has to be well below 30hz. Can't hear it very much, but it makes my 15"s start pumping maximum air !

    Not to answer for DK, but just speaking for myself, I think country and dubstep are such a totally different style of music, that they could easily be referred to as both ends of the spectrum. And I sometimes listen to both :)

    I will listen to whatever has a good sound to it and good lyrics. It can be country to dub step and everything in between. I like it all

    Not flaming you bro, but why are country and dubstep the two ends of the genre spectrum?

    Man, the more I think about it, the more I think that chick was either a cop, or up to some other kind of foul play. Most of the hookers I've seen (especially the older ones... remember, this girl looked like she was in her late 30's or 40'ish) usually look like they have been road hard and put away wet..... and trying to cover up the abuse with 20 lbs of makeup. But this girl looked just a little too fresh and clean......

    I'm telling you, if I had been having a dumb-$#!+ moment....

    And, thank God I don't drink alcohol ! :)

    Right on :) Sounds like fun to me.

    But ya' know, as far as pissing perople off at stop lights..... uhhh..... what about a Harley Davidson that pulls up to a light, shaking everyone around them ? What about the construction crew using jack hammers and concrete saws ? And of course, what about the people who actually enjoy hearing a quaking system, and roll their windows "down" to hear it better ???

    I don't go completely out of my way to try and piss off as many people as I can..... But at the same time, I'm not too awefully worried about the old snots who grumble and roll up there windows either. I just hope I never get so effing crabby when I get old(er).

    Those are good days lol. Back when I had 3 15s in my truck before the 18, once at a light i had it barely audible outside and a guy in a burban pulled up and try to crank it on me. I smiled he laughed...then... I cranked mine :) it was a 3 lane highway, there were 2 guys in a van (middle aged men)on the other side of the burban who flagged the burban drivers attention (i could see in his face he thought they were gonna compliment his stereo, wrong. He asked him to turn it down to tell me "WOW what the hell is in that truck?! Youre shaking his burban over his own bass."

    The funny thing was, it felt SO totally staged :)

    So I was giving a new room mate (who hadn't heard my system yet) a demo. From the moment we hit the end of my street, we started running into {mostly} younger people, who every one of, was apparently in the mood to dance :) It got really fun when we went through old town, and there was a sizable crowd (average age maybe 18) in front of the Starbucks, of whom about 8 of them had to stand up to dance, the other 8 or 10 showed approval by waving their arms :) LOL So I look over at my room mate, and he's tripping on everybody else tripping, as much as he is the system :) I had to tell him, dude, I don't always get this kind love, when cranking it.

    But like I say, it really seemed staged. Hardly anyone trying to ignore it.... everybody was just being cool.

    Played Gorilla Zoe - Echo, Ying Yang Twins - Saltshaker, Bassnectar - Time Stretch, and a few others...

    Sorry.... I posted another thread on the subject, before I saw the latest replies here....

    But in my mind, the best way to test these products would just be to treat 1 door of a vehicle with a particular SD product, crank up a frequency sweep right outside of that door, and read the sound coming through with a Term Lab. Record results. Rip out product 1, and install product 2. Repeat process. A lot of work, but definitive.

    and PLEASE, nobody post a link for that damn "Sound Deadener Showdown" < this is just another brand of sound deadener, and the comparisons they use on their website are completely biased.

    I'd LOVE to see the results of a vehicle (or at least 1 door of it) treated with a particular brand of deadener.... A frequency sweep played loud outside of the vehicle, and a DB meter used inside the vehicle, to see exactly what that material blocks. Next, rip out that brand of deadener, put in another, repeat.

    In other words, ALL BS asside....

    I know they all work, but which ones are REALLY the best value ?

    BTW, everyone always says Dynamat Extreme is SO expensive..... yet when I compare prices of DE (in bulk packages from SonicElectronix) I find that it is right in the middle of the price range for all the other popular sound deadeners.

    I'm expecting to spend between $300-$400 on materials, to sound deaden the roof, and all 4 dr's of my F150.

    To reiterate, UNBIASED comparisons wanted....

    I picked up a girl on the side of the road one time... Bad idea never again

    Well what happened was it was about 3am and 35 degrees out and I see a girl walking down the street in a t shirt and capris so I pick her up ask her where she wants to go. Basically she was drunk and cracked out took me about 20 miles down some random road all the while talking about this is where "he" died and telling me I went the wrong way and I'm a dumbass for going this way.

    I had just pulled into the parking lot of a local grocery store, and parked in the outskirts, to tweak my settings a bit, and crank a couple songs. So, I'm about in the middle of my second song, when this chick walks up.

    Now let me paint you a picture. She was really thin (like I totally prefer) but still curvy, maybe 5'6", 115 lbs, about 40 years old (I'm 47, and she looked MUCH better than me ;)) black girl with long, pretty hair hair (probably weaves, but that would bother me about as much as fake tits (Not ;))

    So, by the time she gets to the window of my truck, "I've already checked this girl out from head to toe, and "if" I were strictly going by "looks or body"...... Oh hell's yea'. No questions asked.

    Unfortunately, the intelligent side of my brain..... or wait, should I say, my other head starts thinking :) And I was like > 2 hours after dark, this girl is walking up to a complete stranger and telling me, "Hey baby, I love your truck. You wanna' take me for a ride" ? So part of me is saying, "Like you don't even know" ! And the other part of me is saying, "This girl is obviously a hooker" ! Not only am I not going to pay for it, but I'm not trying to catch any VD's either.

    .....and that kinda' sucks, because under different circumstances {say, you go to a buddy's house, and his wife has her "single" friend there (who looks as good as the girl above).... things click.... next your bouncing on it ..... And before you know it, you gotta talk to the girl ;) I think that's the normal order, right ?

    But a hooker ? ......uhhh..... no.

    Pretty girl. Really a shame.

    I'd like to be BIGGER than ZKK ! Totally sucks I won't ever have more than a small fraction of the muscle mass he has. But it's doesn't stop me from trying..... Or, from idolizing ZKK :) Hat's off to him though.

    Ehh.... That guy looks like too much of a pretty boy (and not buffed enough). If I'm looking for "pretty" I look at girls ;) LOL

    I was kind of laughing though, as I read down that page a little and saw somebody say about that guy > "You can't look that good without roids" .... Ha ! :) IMPO, with good genetics, and the right body shape, pretty much anybody could be as big as that guy. Don't know his height, or weight, but he is not even close to "freakish".

    it's possible,.. manufactures are doing strange things these days. I wouldn't put it past Ford to do something like that either. That's why i said most cases, but there are going to be exceptions more often then not anymore.

    It's not the most air tight system either. so could also be a combination of them getting residual air flow stricktly based on how the plenum under the dash is designed.

    This guy is like my body building super hero idol :) LOL I mean, I would absolutely love to be that big and ripped. But I'm not a fool.

    Okay, for starters..... roids, right ? Well duh. The human body can not reach ridiculous levels of body mass like this, with out them. But anybody who thinks "all it would take is a bunch of chemicals". Uhhh, no. I think maybe 1 in 10's of millions, maybe hundreds, even have the genetic capability of getting this big. Then to be able to workout for a living, has gotta' help a ton... But anyway...

    Otherwise, you would see a "bunch of guys" running around looking like 'Z"K"K'. Instead, not.

    The dude is just a beast.

    PS, To me ZKK just totally reminds me of some of those crazy monster guys (Worlds of Warcraft" or whatever the game... sorry, not a gamer) but in real life :)

    And to be that scary...... then start conversations with people, and be the friendliest guy they ever met. Remember, if you looked like ZKK, you wouldn't really have to be a "bad dude" because not too many people are going to walk up and start $#!+ with you anyway ;) LOL

    And was already thinking, "wow, I bet you that vent exit could be pretty easily routed right to / across my amp. So, on a cool night, I could close all of the other vent ducts, put the thing on low AC, and direct most of that right across my amp......

    usually, those under the seat vents are routed with heat when the hot air blend door is in the heater position. most heaters have floor settings, and that's where you would get anything coming through those ducts. the a/c primarily is upper ducting only. I have seen custom ducting ran from an a/c vent to channel cool air on an amp.

    As far as the thermal issue, I have used those style RF amps, and i was able to get mine to thermal and shut down many times. A little more sensitive then i would like, but not too much of an issue unless sitting still on hot days/nights. The fan had more noise then i cared for too, but only a bother at lower or idle volume levels.
