  1. What are you talking about? The D2700 will stomp the shit out of the Kinetik 2400 and anything under that. The D2700 is a beast of a battery and so is the D2400. Kinetik doesn't make a battery that can touch any comparable size XS Power battery at all.

All I can tell you is from what I seen with testing we did. Odyssey 1750/1700 stomped a mud hole in the d2700 and a d2400 was weaker yet for burps.

  2. How much does a kenetik 2400 cost? Around 375

I can get redtops for 120 and bluetops for around 150

i meant the price he spends on one kenetik he could get two bluetops

    (lack of punctuation)

New here a little red top is 149.99 for the smallest one, smallest yellow top is 189.99 (yellow and blue are the same and again that is for a SMALLER battery)

    http://cgi.ebay.com/KINETIK-HC2400-HIGH-CU...%3A1%7C294%3A50

  3. Sounds like you have everything figured out

Id go with the wire on ebay from coppercableman

For the price of one kenetick you could buy two bluetop optimas for the rear and a redtop for the front

I would like to know where you can get a new optima red top for 100 much less the blues for 100 each. 3x100

  4. Thats what i was thinking. If anyone does dB Drag and need's a little more kick. Money well spent.

8400's are not legal until you get to street max , super street and extreme, 300s 400s and 800's would put you in street c (using 2 batteries) where many batteries would straight blow them away...2000's and 3000's are better for all types of systems..and hopefully more durable (depending on use a regular system 600-1000 watts where a kid might be considering a cap to stop dimming i would recomend the 300-400-800s)

  5. From what I've seen, our 200 amp unit is pretty similar to the Powermaster. All of the Powermaster units that I've seen use an OEM type bearing, which is fine, but I've had better luck with NTN. Every Powermaster unit I've seen also has a stock size charge post, whereas most of ours have an oversized charge post. I havn't inspected every all of their stuff, but it seems like we generally use a heavier rectifier than what I've seen them use.

To be fair, all of the Powermaster units that I've tested did put out what they where supposed to amperage wise, so I can't really say that they are over rated.

My bad, I ment between the 2 200 amp alts you have, 299 model and this 399 model. They both say 200 amps I just want to know what the extra 100 dollars are for. Most guys see "amps" and what not and think an alt is an alt. I am not trying to bug you I am just trying to see what the differences are for the money. Can 1 perform better or last longer than the other?

  7. read up in the Missinglink section of the forum if you want to know what the MLA module is and what it does ............. but my advice is it's very useful. i'd personnally go with a smaller alt because a 300 wont give you much idle power bro. give MECHMAN a pm or call and see what he can do for you. i'm sure a nice 250 amp alt (150 idle amp) ....... and a couple of good batteries or more with 2 runs of 1/0 will do ya potna.

the MLA module and 3 kinetik 2400's should keep you in action
