Haven't tested a D2400 but if its like the D2700 it would more than likely finish at the bottom in this test on spl burps. For daily I run Kinetik and have for 3 years with 0 complaints.
-
JL has won many SQ titles in USACI and IASCA in the big dawg classes. So has Kicker for that matter.
-
You might want to ask for some side stickers as well. Not sure if the tops are the ones that were messed up, but the sides look beat up in your pics.
don't those have a sticker on the bottom too? A little white one?
-
How much does a kenetik 2400 cost? Around 375
I can get redtops for 120 and bluetops for around 150
i meant the price he spends on one kenetik he could get two bluetops
(lack of punctuation)
New here a little red top is 149.99 for the smallest one, smallest yellow top is 189.99 (yellow and blue are the same and again that is for a SMALLER battery)
http://cgi.ebay.com/KINETIK-HC2400-HIGH-CU...%3A1%7C294%3A50
-
Sounds like you have everything figured out
Id go with the wire on ebay from coppercableman
For the price of one kenetick you could buy two bluetop optimas for the rear and a redtop for the front
I would like to know where you can get a new optima red top for 100 much less the blues for 100 each. 3x100
-
I would add a Group 31 sized battery in back. Kinetik HC2400, Optima G31 or the biggest Intimidator.
-
I thought the MLA guys ran kinetiks on their 15v set up without issue
-
OMG its a conspiracy...lol who cares that is why we get sweet deals on Powermaster batteries. I have seen many companies share buildings. Ohhhh how about a mall thats the same address, lol
wouldn't a mall shop have a suite address?
-
hmmmm,funny/odd his address is very close to powermaster's..why?reman's /seconds?
http://www.mechman.com/contact.html look at the bottom address
http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/contact_us.html
Look to be closer than close, they look to be the same address. If this is right does powermaster give him free shipping on the stuff he sells do you think?
-
Is this for burps or daily? If it is for burps the 2 best batteries are Stinger 2150 or the nsb 90 or nsb g3100. Different ball game though if you are planing on going daily and you actually use your batteries. 4 batteries though I think would be better for daily as there are more batteries to spread the system draw around.
-
If you are running the JL amps my bet is you very will might need more batteries than just 1 in back. They are not the most effiecent amplifiers I have seen unless they changed them over the last year or so.
-
Thats what i was thinking. If anyone does dB Drag and need's a little more kick. Money well spent.
8400's are not legal until you get to street max , super street and extreme, 300s 400s and 800's would put you in street c (using 2 batteries) where many batteries would straight blow them away...2000's and 3000's are better for all types of systems..and hopefully more durable (depending on use a regular system 600-1000 watts where a kid might be considering a cap to stop dimming i would recomend the 300-400-800s)
-
Yeah i have a batcap model 800 and im really impressed with it. Not to mention it only weighs 14 pounds! Also it is 70% Battery and 30% Cap just a little food for thought!
model 800 is 100% battery
the 300 and 400 models people say they are Hawker Cyclone cells. http://audioforum.termpro.com/cgi-bin/ubb/...c;f=51;t=010528

As the title says, I have been checking out places and prices. I found them as low as 280 to as high as 499. Ike sounds was the cheapest, although I will probably buy them from Summit Racing (gotta love a company that does price matching).
Does anyone know of a cheaper place?
mechman is selling d925 types for 80 bux. 3 of those would be over 7000 max amps!
-
My bad, I ment between the 2 200 amp alts you have, 299 model and this 399 model. They both say 200 amps I just want to know what the extra 100 dollars are for. Most guys see "amps" and what not and think an alt is an alt. I am not trying to bug you I am just trying to see what the differences are for the money. Can 1 perform better or last longer than the other? From what I've seen, our 200 amp unit is pretty similar to the Powermaster. All of the Powermaster units that I've seen use an OEM type bearing, which is fine, but I've had better luck with NTN. Every Powermaster unit I've seen also has a stock size charge post, whereas most of ours have an oversized charge post. I havn't inspected every all of their stuff, but it seems like we generally use a heavier rectifier than what I've seen them use.
To be fair, all of the Powermaster units that I've tested did put out what they where supposed to amperage wise, so I can't really say that they are over rated.
-
what are the differences? All I see is that they are both 200 amp alternators. That is a differnent unit, and has different features, which is why it is more expensive.
The unit that compares to the 48203 is only $299.
-
I was going off of this http://mechman.com/store/index.php/cPath/8...104_247_252_258http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=sku
FYI - We are actually $59 cheaper than the Powermaster unit.
-
I can get a Powermaster 48203 for about 50 dollars less than a Mechman 10511252-00. They are both 200 amp alts is one better than the other as far as output at idle?

but do i want more Amp hours or more cranking amps?
Kinetik has always been good to me plus they support car audio competitions.
-
read up in the Missinglink section of the forum if you want to know what the MLA module is and what it does ............. but my advice is it's very useful. i'd personnally go with a smaller alt because a 300 wont give you much idle power bro. give MECHMAN a pm or call and see what he can do for you. i'm sure a nice 250 amp alt (150 idle amp) ....... and a couple of good batteries or more with 2 runs of 1/0 will do ya potna.
the MLA module and 3 kinetik 2400's should keep you in action

All I can tell you is from what I seen with testing we did. Odyssey 1750/1700 stomped a mud hole in the d2700 and a d2400 was weaker yet for burps.
