  5. We just got our first batch of Black Damplifier in. The material is absolutely awesome looking. The foil is slightly thicker than the previous version too. From 4 mils thick to 4.5 which will provide slightly better vibration damping results Right now it is only available in 40 sq. foot kits To help spread the word we are taking 15% off of Damplifier Black 40 foot packs. First, go to the Damplifier page on our site: http://www.secondskinaudio.com/vibration-mat/damplifier.php Then, use this code to get your discount: Blakitydax The code will be active for a few days, so jump on it! Thanks all! ANT

  9. Oh Snap!! That is some serious stuff right there. I appreciate the kind words and to vote of confidence. You are correct that the adhesive we use is amung the strongest in the industry, however it has taken some time to get there. We have made many changes over the years in order to improve the quality of the products but it hasnt always been cut and dry. Sometimes you hear about b-stock sales that we have. Not every batch turns out right. Even recently we had a batch of material that had too much tactifier added and had some adhesion problems. Sticking to the paper too well and not sticking to the metal as well as it should. When this happens we reduce the price and offer it to our previous customers first then put it up on the forums. As much as I hate to admit that we have had a bad batch of material, it is the truth and we do every thing we can to fix these types of issues when they arrise (as seldem as they are). Overall though we have a pretty good reputation providing quality products at affordible prices, long before we were advertising on this site. As far as the perforated sheets goes, there is some sort of truth to that in there. Our adhesive has less oxygen content thatn other product because otf the resin we use. It has a nigher oil count which acts as a defaoming agent allowing for better oil absorbtion, and lower air bubbles. We strive to provide the best possible products to the customer at the best possible pricing and are always trying to improve our products at every opportunity. That being said, hushmat is an awesome product, and most anyone that has every used it will say the same thing! ANT
  10. Not sure when the next show is going to be. We might just make it an anual one. If that is the case, next Obtober. We have some figureing out to do still! ANT
  11. This was the frozen t-shirt contest. You take a shirt, get it wet, roll it up and stick it in the freezer. The contestants have to get it unrolled and put on, whoever does this first wins free ****! People were getting subwoofers, Second Skin packs and other goodies from vendors. Very fun for the crowd too!
  12. The local Audio Express brought this one down. 32 screens in total. Sounded pretty clean too!
  13. This is looking from the end of the street down at all the cars in the show and the contest. This was taken about an hour before the contest even started so it was much more full by then. We ended up having about 90 cars show up. Not too bad for our first show!
  14. Great write up man! Spectrum is an awesome product. Glad you like it. I formulated it myself. To answer a question that was brought up in this thread, Spectrum is waterbased so it takes 30 days to fully cure. It will skin over and be dry to the touch in 15-45 minutes depending on temperature and humidity levels. It will be 50% solid in 24 hours. It will be 75% solid in 72 hours Sound deadening results will kick in about 3 or 4 days in, and will continue to increase over the entire 30 day cure time. Hope that helps! ANT
  15. Spectrum and Damplifier are both vibration dampers. You can use one on top of the other but here is the skinny. Spectrum is water based. Like all water based coatings it takes 30 full days to cure. If you apply Damplifier Pro on top of it, you need to wait 30 days before doing so. If you don't, you run the risk of trapping water in the Spectrum before it fully cures. This might promote rust. Applying Spectrum on top of Damplifier is fine. It will help strengthen the foil and increase the damping results, but remember, Damplifier and Damplifier Pro are good enough the way they are. There is not really a need to apply Spectrum on top of Damplifier. After all, they are both vibration dampers. Instead, use Spectrum independantly from Damplifier. Damplifier in side the car, under the carpet and behind the upholstery. Spectrum as an undercoaign on the underside f the car to sandwich teh sheet metal OR inside the car in all the tough to reach areas that Damplifier can't get applied to. If you want to put something on top of Damplifier or Damplifier Pro, it should be our noise barrier, Luxury Liner Pro. This will block the transmission of airborne noise and will do a TON more damage than the Spectrum on top of Damplifier. Hope that helps! ANT
  16. The contest is still in play.We got the material in on Friday and it was all wrong. Wrong foil thickness and pattern. We had to refuse it and send it back.. ANT
