holy hell 10 runs of 1/0...when i run it under car i usually use welding or marine wire with the hard plastic jacket...ill be using knu and will just use rubber mounts and stick it to the frame...the rubber will be fine long as it doesnt rub.

Agreed good sir i would like to second your advice and raise you 2 midgets and a leprachaun outfit. In which case i would say i must offer to host this event due to security issues. Feel free to PM me tho but still no touchy touchy

copy it or buy it from the same factory and sell it at a cheaper more reasonable rate ?
-
At this point i would run down to the store and snag up some 55$ cheapo walmart batteries and toss in the trunk.

28hz and it rolls off, i can play 10hz but its not doing a whole lot.
damn near no songs go below 27hz unless its MEGA chopped and screwed.

With a tight box and large port the port only reinforces the woofer for a narrow range of frequencies
, so tuning low will be to your advantage as in the music range (35-50hz) the subs will actually be getting alot of excursion!
Also on the low notes the subs will barely move. If you tune normal 35-40hz in this type of box the subs wont move playing those notes, and you will end up with some very hot subs and smelly coils as most music is in this range....you want to tune as low as possible so only on the low notes they have less excursion.
Atleast thats what i think and has worked for me.
-
Depending on subs and what not, a 4 cube box is definitely do able!
I recommend tuning as LOW as possible probably around 27hz and using a ton of port. whatever you can fit.
It will be peaky but if you tune low it sound decent

add foam where they slap the cone if that is what it is. also be sure no dustcap is loose that is also a problem.
-
Depends entirely on what you want to play (music preference) and what output you want, and also how much space you are willing to give up. Im having very good luck so far with my 4th order i would recomend one even in my initial testing, it beats on little power

Well ya see in theory, if you have a 270A alternator and back batteries your runs front to rear only have to supply the current that the alt can produce + or - for the voltage drop so lets say 300A depending on length of your runs this could be done with one or two runs of 1/0...
IF you connect your alternator to the front battery and have the runs going from the front battery to the back batteries, your runs now have to flow the current that the front battery + alternators can discharge, i dont know about you but batteries are rated in CRANKING amps, ya know like 1000CCA
Now you need a hell of alot more runs right?
Also mismatching batteries is not optimal.
Ever seen a SS CRX burp car, how many runs from the front to rear do they have?
With the jeep i had 1 run of 1/0 per 300A alternator, and had a .1-.2 voltage drop full tilt between front and rear.
-
If you have 2 big alternators i would run them both to the system...If you have 1 big alternator i would just run it to the system with its own batteries. This is really nice as you dont get headlight dimming or any electrical issues with the car, but you may get ground loop noise if you dont set it all up right.

Interesting design it may actually work as the subs are "loading" directly into a wall....Try it.
super excited

or if you dont have the clamps all you need to do is put glue on the spider landing and surround on the basket, and just put a shim in and stick the recone on and set a battery or weight and just let that put the pressure on the landing and for the surround and hit the landing with accelerator and your good to go
i did a friends xl 15" and they threw it in 30 minutes later and beat on it all the way home
