  1. awesome, how do the SE series sound, the 175 watt rating is a little low, how much are the SE series compared to the RE series
  2. oh ok, ive only heard a little about RE's so i am debating if i should get a pair of them.. are they pretty loud?
  3. i just found some RE audio 12' subs for pretty cheap, i dont know what series they are but the box said they can handle up to 2000 watts peak and capable of 174 db.. and they were only 100 bucks, anybody know much about these subs?
  4. oh nice, this will be my first t line ever so i hope it sounds ok, its for a buddy and he has 2 hifonics 12's but he wants something to hit harder and deeper... i dont want it to be bandpass, im not to big a fan of bandpass
  5. yah i am workin on the design right now, and i've got a 10.5 cu ft box designed with 120 sq inches, i dont know the actual dimensions that i have to work with, but its not as big as i had expected actually.. i did the math and thats exactly what the 15 will call for.. now i just got to see how big the trunk actually is
  6. ok because my buddy has been askin about it and wants to fit the t-line box in his accord, and i told him we wont have the room to do it, but i wanted to check and make sure,
  7. im new to tline boxes, i know that i have to angle the corners and whatnot, and have alot of port, my question is still if i cut that port length down to fit it into my application, will it even be worth building anymore?
  8. I am helping a buddy of mine come up with a new box, and i was thinking about creating the schematic for a Tline box, it will be just 1 memphis pr 15' sub.. i know it will need something like 6 cubic feet, but if i cut it down to about 4 cubic feet, will it still sound decent? or will it sound absolutely terrible? im not sure on the specifics on how big it will be.. just need to see if its even worth designing
  9. i was thinking porting like this http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh44/ti...v1/DSC00157.jpg something like that, so it wont be removable,
  10. ok so i dont know which way will sound better, because i have one person sayin sub up and port up, and another saying sub up and port back
  11. ok i am thinkin probly 36 hz, it does seem big, but i am going to trust it, since that info was put our by memphis, i just dont want to go too much lower under 40 hz cause i dont want it to sound like butt because of the wrong tuning.. i am totally new to ported boxes, i have always gone sealed just because its easier.. i have read a little about if i go to much under the tune amount of hz, it can actually damage the speaker, is that true? thats the main thing that i am concerned about
  12. the 2.5 cu per sub is what Memphis says is optimum for that speaker, so thats what i am going to do, so i should port up? instead of just to the back? what amount of cu ft would u recommend? i am new to ported boxes, and memphis said tune for 40 hz, does that sound about right?
  13. i still dont know what shape box to build for the most bass
  14. yah i wanted to port to the back, and subs up, but like a rectangular shape, or do a rectangle with an angle from center of the top to the center of one of the sides
  15. a ford explorer, so i have alot of room but i dont want to go more than 20 inches high, and 40 inches wide, and i would like to have 2.5 ft^3 per sub.
  16. i am looking to make a new box, i have the wood and everything to make it, i just have decided on a design i have a bit of a debate though i will be running 2 memphis pr 12's are roughly 300 rms i am going to put them in a ported box. would it sound best in a rectangular ported box? or something that is rectangular but also on the top is angled? i am looking more for the bass, not so much on the sound quality, or whats a better design for ported box, but with keeping it simple
  17. right now im running 2 memphis pr 12's pushing about 350 rms to each in just a sealed 1.5 cu foot box for each speaker. I am looking to design a new ported box, and looking to also get new subwoofers. I have enough room to put as big as a 10 cubic ft box if i need, i have the stock electrical system in my explorer, and relatively new to this stuff which way should i point the port? what should i tune the box for? i listen to almost all rap. I was looking at the Hifonics brutus B12D4 subs. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12409_...nics+B12D4.html anybody know if they are any good? or any other ideas for different subwoofers around the same price range?
  18. you can easily push 1000 watts worth in your car... i pushed 1900 peak and about 1000 rms in a 1985 silverado.. so you should be just fine, right now i am pushing close to 2600 watts in a 1992 explorer, with no problems, running about 1500 rms
