  1. i was pretty sure that i would need the more port area, i just had to ask to be sure. thanks for the help. bout to build another tline for both speakers
  2. I recently picked up a pair of them the thunder 7000's they were relatively cheap. they are the 4 ohm version. im running 1 in the tline right now pushing only 150 watts rms and its impressive for 1 12. i havent tryed them in any other type of box yet though. im looking at putting in the second speaker just lookin for the lazy mans way out to not have to build another box
  3. i figured it was that way the port on his is way to small but for every speaker you add in a tline, you have to account for the added cone area so more square inches righr?
  4. i have been messing around with tlines recently and the one i am using is for 1 12 mtx thunder 7000. i was on youtube and saw a guy take his tline and put 4 8's in it, here is the video of what it looks like : box shows at 6 secondsI am wondering if that kinda defeats the purpose of a tline, if it doesnt i would like to do it to mine as i dont want to make another box for my other speaker unless i really have too.
  5. thanks man i just gotta get the money for the rims, i want to do my stereo rebuild first though.
  6. alright i found a 3/5 that i was thinkin about getting for now and ive changed my mind to 18's running 235 35 18 for the tires do u think that would rub much?
  7. Ascendant Audio for the SMD, and Digital Designs for the other hope it helps
  8. look up in google FI car audio in google and its the first link then find it on their site
  9. i have a 99 ford ranger and i was looking to drop it 3/5 and put some 20 inch rims on it, what would be the best way to drop it and will i have to cut anything out so it doesnt rub?
  10. you will be pleased with the boston acoustics. If your looking for beatin down the whole block, not so much but boston acoustic subs are very clean and have a very true sounding bass to them. i have a G1 series 8 inch and the thing is amazing.
  11. if its your first box that you are building yourself, a round port might be easier for you
  12. damnit i want to push 1600 watts rms at 2 ohm, since i will be running 4 cvr's
  13. yah i dont run my system without the car being on, so i dont think i will have a problem, and it wont be up all the time, i like that "parkin lot pimp" never heard that, mostly it will only be up all the way for maybe competitions, or scarin the hell out of people
  14. its the Power Acoustik BAMF-4000/1d i am going by what the amplifier specs say.
  15. yah the one i will be using does 2200 rms at 1 ohm, but im only going to be running it at 2 ohm pushing 1700 watts rms out of that and, and about another 400 out of my mids and highs amp
  16. im not sure what size i can fit, but i was just lookin at that battery actually, i will take a look at how much space i got to work with.. ill try to figure something out to get that battery.. thanks for your help.. i didnt want to build the system without knowing i could do it on 1 battery.. and so i should go 250 amp alt as well?
  17. would an Optima Yellow top be beefy enough for it? or do i need something a little bigger still?
  18. damn i was hopin i could slide by.. i wanted to get some other opinions, i dont know how to wire the second battery in, so i didnt want to mess with one.. i was hopin to slide with just a giant battery in the front, and a big capacitor in the back.. does anybody think that would be possible?
  19. i want to push 4 kicker cvr 12's with a 4000watt power acoustik amp, pushing 425 watts rms to each at 2 ohm, if i do the big 3 under the hood and put a 250 amp alternator in will i still need a second battery? or could i just get away with the big alternator.. and i will only be pushin maybe 2100 watts rms
  20. i will push whatever the rns is for each speaker, im not overpowering it or underpowering it.. still the question is, which is loudest, 1 sx 18', 4 re series 12's, or 2 se 12's... all pushed at rms ratings
  21. yah those XXX ones would be rediculous, what would be louder 4 RE's or 2 SE's... i dont want to spend more than 300 on subs,
  22. nope thats per speaker, i need something that is going to bang real hard, but not break the bank either, like i said space isnt a issue, and i am willing to put up to 4 subs in the back, would these do the job, or would u have any other recommendations?
  23. i might try them out, they are only 100 bucks a piece so it would be a fun experiment, i have two little cheap hifonics 12' subs, the bottom level ones.. i blew my memphis all to hell, just tryin to get a feel for if the RE's would be louder, if not then i will just put in 2 more 12's.. i drive an explorer so space isnt too much of an issue.. and damn thats a nice install dude, very very clean.. good work dude
