Just a litlle something I have done since i got back from IRAQ
FUNDED BY THE WAR ON TERRORISM.LOL
Still have not upgraded factory grounds got the rest of the week to finish

I have the 505, right now I did it hood style. One wire to from toggle to ground, and then another toggle on a 12v constant. You just have to flip 12v, flip grpung and then flip 12v again. It works till you get the PAC7

If batteries are parallel does it matter if each alternator is run to seperate batteries. Just to confirm it will not hurt the alternators to connect them to each other then run them to the battery.
-
+ on the front battery to the + to the rear battery(s) ........ fuse no more than 18 inches from the front battery and no more than 18 inches before the rear battery(s). you should be good. you'll be good with the yellowtops although for their price you could get kinetik or powermaster.
What size fuses should I run on power wire to rear battery

i asked a simular question a lil ways back and this is what i got should help
I thought running parallel you needed to exact same batteries, mine are almost the same, one red top optima on the truck, and a second yellow top deepcycle, I was going to use for the stereo. Are theses batteries compatable for wiring parallel. And if my other battery is in the back of my Tahoe what is the best way to run them together.
How should i wire them the best way for 12v system, I am a noob to dual set ups

I am going to run dual alts , dual batteries on an 01 Tahoe. What is the best way to wire it to keep seperate alt, batt for stereo. Will the amps off a 220 amp alt straight to second battery, blow the fuses on amps. Hooking up alt to side post terminal, and amps off top post.

tahnk you very much.
Got it hooked up but it tries to start then shuts down, what all wires have to be hooked up on that bypass
Finally got everything working it starts, but brake shutdown does not work, tach shutdown works, hood pin works but brake dont, and also when i put the key in and turn the back and take it out the truck does not shut of
Now the only problem is the brake shutdown, i have it hooked up to the white wire on the switch above the brake pedal, the wire does not read 12v when depressed. Is there another wire that will read 12v when pedal is pressed

Connect the purple wire from your DLPKGM to the OBD2 wire... purple wire in your obd connector at bottom of dash, pin2. solder this wire.
connect the violet/white wire from the DLPKGM to the purple/white tach wire on your remote start
blue/white from the DLPKGM to the status output from your remote start... blue or blue white.
ping from the DLPKGM to your pink ignition wire
and that should be all the wires you need for remote start off the DLPKGM... we just started using them instead of 555Ls at work.
you do not need to cut your passlock wires with this bypass.
tahnk you very much.
-
Did you get this working? are you useing a 555L? 1700G?
I am using the DLPKGM or trying to. dei says it will work for passlock and pass key. not using the doorlocks or anything on it just for bypass. i know i should have got the 555l but directed site says it will work. Just need to know what is up with the OBD2 wire, and if the status output wire from the alarm goes to the blue/white wire on the bypass. Do i have to cut the yellow vats wire. hook it up to the input on the bypass and then the bypass to the other cut side of the vats wire
-
The blue/white status output goes to bypass
and whats up with the data OBD2 wire, sorry new to remote starts using the DLPKGM bypass kit
-
Nope, but blue off the 7pin remote start harness does.
The blue/white status output goes to bypass
-
Does it hook up to the bypass kit
sorry just seen u said dont need it thanks
-
white/blue on the main harness is remote start activation input... it is used for an external source to activate the remote starter. You don't need it.
Does it hook up to the bypass kit

Tricky, what I found from direct wholesale is this "This vehicle has 2 door trigger wires, the DRIVERS DOOR is a TAN (-) PURPLE plug, B4 and ALL OTHER doors BLUE/WHITE (-) LIGHT BLUE plug, Pin B11 at the BCM use both wires and DIODE ISOLATE when connecting to an ALARM SYSTEM" along with this diagram:
http://64.85.6.129/extrainfo/diagrams/2650...N%20CIRCUIT.pdf
any other information can be found http://www.directwholesale.net/diagrams/diagrams.asp?link=DW. Good luck and good choice on alarm!
I have the whole alrm installed everything works ecept the reomte start is not fully hooked up/ i need to know wher the remote start activation wire goes to start the remote start white/blue wire
-
Cant figure out where the white/blue remote start activation wire goes to from the primary harness. the instructions say nothing
-
yes it was in valet mode, what can i say, im a noob
-
Half way through instal everything fine, sensor and door triggers working fine. After hooking up doorlocks, almost everything stop working. Alarm will sound if holding down lock, and doorlocks work just fine. It doesnot chirp when i arm it, and door triggers, shock sensor dont seem to be working. Anybody got input
-
by the way there should be a black wire that you dont touch take the bypass mod pink/white connect it to the pink yellow or white away from the cylinder take pink with black from the bypass mod and connect that to the pink yellow or white wire towards the cylinder so you have to cut the pink yellow or whit wire
That is kind of what i was getting, wanted to ask before i went cutting, and the yellow wire at the cylinder is the only wire i use, so sounds right
THANKS
-
older models sorry
pink yellow or white ?
red/white orange/black yellow wires
-
The 3 wires out of the cylinder, it says only two are used, but i dont actually know how to hook the up to the bypass right. It says crap about relays, but i know it can be done with out, just got back from iraq, live on base in Louisiana, No good people to go ask, one shop here and they suck
It say cut the vats wire, put the key side wire to bypass input then from the bypass output hook up the other cut end
-
ok well for some reason my comp is being gay so i cant look at the manual so what wires do you have a questino with and what do they say they go to
