Thanks, man! Nice pics.
The Dewalt truck was nice as well as that green Verde coupe. What was that, some kind of hybrid?
Buick is really stepping up it's styling game, right? I have always believed that sheet metal sells cars. That will be a hot one!

This is a joke, right?
Some 25 year is going to knock VanDam's head off! This guy is on an ego trip or something because there are martial artists that do NOTHING BUT train. He's been making movies. Not the same thing.
That said, I would pay money to see a TV martial artist fight a real-life martial artist, even from the same lineage.

Swap your sub out for two D2s and still use both amps.
I'm assuming you have a D1 or D4 sub now.

I have two new Hifonics Brutus Bxi1210Ds in the FS Section for $185 each, shipped. The are rated for 1200 and RMS and are linkable.
PM me if interested.

That was a cool vid.
It looks like that sub would do fine on 4k for competition!! :hairtrick:

11hz, really... come on, lol
ud need to be tuned to 18-20hz to play it "safely"
ditch that song, lol....
x2
That's why ol' Ben Building ALWAYS sets the subsonic filter. Anything else is asking for fail.
Tighten up, BigPimpin

The Brutus. It is rated for 2kRMS. Even if the RFT1000D was under-rated, it wont be by 100% of its RMS rating.
Duh.

Hey TJ.
So, you have port questions? Well, you have started on the right track by making your port square. If you can put 45s in the corner of your port to cancel the corners, that would help as well as resin inside the port.
BTW Somebody needs to sticky the topic of Port Shapes because too many people ask this question!!
-
With the battery replacing the capacitor, you will be okay for a while. Eventyally, you will need to replace or rebuild the alternator, though.
-
Why would you put your speakers in a sealed box when you can run ported?
One ported 15 will be as loud as two in a sealed box. 4th Order (ported box) enclosures are 3-6db more efficient than sealed boxes. When you double your woofer area or power, your output goes up by 3db.
Two fifteens in a sealed box with double the power will be as loud as one EBS-loaded 15 but will probably sound more authoritative on the low-lows.
-
Resin will be the strongest and best solution in your situation. If your panels are structurally sound and have the coin thickness gap you can just grab a $0.99 small tube of clear silicone II and fill the gap. Everybody starts somewhere and I have filled quarter inch gaps with tons of silicone and it still holds solid to this day. No, I will not post pix of the enclosure ha ha
Pics or Ban! LOL

Lanzar Optidrive 32 Series (1100wRMS power handling on the 12)
or
American Bass VFL (1000 watts RMS power handling)
Both are relatively cheap and very powerful. You can PM me if you need some help with locating these.
Also, look at the Audiopipe TXXAPX (Eye Candy) subwoofers that take 1000 watts RMS and are VERY efficient.
Good Luck

How about 3 Hifonics BXi2010Ds for $279 each plus shipping?
Three American Bass VFL 110.1s for $399 each?
Or 3 Planet Audio BB2400.1s for $439 each?
Three Lanzar OPTI 2000D (.5 Ohm stable amp) for $369 each?
Three AudioPipe AQX25001 (2500wRMS) for $359 each?
-
You need 15s or 18s. If you're looking at 15s, then how about the American Bass HD 15? They come in dual 1 or 2 ohm and handle gobs of power.
-
i want it to be nice and not too ghettoish like only black people and wiggers wear them lol
Dude, you might as well have said the n-word. I don't think that's appropriate.
-
Seriously look at the AudioPipe TSF1200 shallow mount high power subwoofer. They handle 1000 watts RMS and are only 4.125 inches deep. I've run them in sealed and ported boxes and have had good results with both.
Up to three of them can be ported behind your seat. :hairtrick:
If you're having a problem locating some, just PM me, okay?

I can do a Pioneer DEHP5100UB for $190 plus shipping. You could also step it up to the DEHP6100BT which has built-in Bluetooth, for $225 plus shipping.
PM me with your location if you need a shipping quote.

Shameless plug.
But please PM me when you get a chance, Theabunai.

Good points, Boon. 2500 watts RMS per sub is an ungodly amount of power in a transmission line. However, I have played with many, many subwoofers that can take a lot more mechanical abuse than you would suspect. I say it would damage the coil eletrically before the mechanical limits become apparant. You will want to pay extra attention to your amp(s) subsonic filter though and be responsible with the volume knob.
I say build it and see how it does. BOSE does this kind of stuff all the time. Let him builld his box; this probably won't be his last exotic box, so he needs to do this one.
