    Ya man, definitely listen to the people who have never seen a dc sub in person.

    Oh okay sorry kid :/ I didn't know Washington DC was in Virginia. DC is actually not part of ANY U.S state, and is actually governed by the federal government.

    But alright, let me get back to reading the constitution...

    oh yeah and btw, if you wanna say the district of columbia is in a state, its more in Maryland than VA. Good call buddy!

    Umm, Actually if you are going to say it is more in one state than the other, then you are wrong lol. It is in neither state. It is it's own. The assumption of it being in one state more than the other is like saying New Jersey is more in NY than in Pa...

    I get what you're saying but your first thought was enough to prove your point.

    Anyways, Subs...compare the sales and results of RF subs vs DC and I would say DC wins. Hearing DC personally and owning RF subs before, I would go DC without hesitation. It isn't bandwagon if it's fact, right?

    Gonna have to pop the dc cherry.... It's surely not a fact, more like an opinion. Lol

    i have powerbass xta 4000 d wired at .67 ohm daily and iv seen them not just watched seen them run 1/4 ohm and awesome subs for the price the 3xls are loud and clean and iv herd there 4xls in a spl car at 42 Hz still sound daily driving worthy but the xta series amps are bad ass for multiple amp set ups with there master and slave RCA in and outs which means u set the master and all the others fallow exactly the same cant get any easier than that nothing wrong with other brands but know what Ur talking about before u say something that's y u don't see me talk highly bout soundigatal cuz i don't know anything about them for instance

    and iv ran Rockford Memphis Kenwood Sony Alpine Boston so that's the advice or help i can help with or talk about with my experience and no others until i get my DCs hehe :yahoo:

    I've ran RF and loved it and honestly, the only thing worth it with RF is their amps and mids/ highs. Subs aren't really anything like they use to be. PB is similar to RF in that aspect, but people say their subs are decent. I haven't heard them, but with what I have seen from PB, their amps are no joke and I can't wait to get mine back! (bought them inop lol)

    Does powerbass make good stuff or do the lower prices seem too good to be true? Anyone know? How do they compare to RF?

    powerbass = garbage IMO.. RF = great quality.

    Why garbage? just because it isn´t as expensive as your RF??? i mean, i have a 400.4 for about 5 years now without any problems, i used an asa1500.1 and sounded awesome for the price, also ested the xta4000D and it´s a monster, it can take 0.5 ohms for music and 0.25 ohms for burps without any problems, not like your RF by the way ;)

    By the way, look at Pulse car audio videos using a pair of powerbass amps for a single DD 9515 hitting 157 dbs sealed on the dash, and then you might think again about saying is garbage, of course, i respect your opinion as your preferences by using RF wich i totally understand, but garbage?? yeah right ;)

    run that powerbass at .25 daily and see how long it will last.. when it comes to amps you should not cheap out.. sure the 4 channel ones may work alright.. but in the long run of going through cheap amps you could have bought one nice one that lasts years and years.. :shtf:

    Have you ran PB? Being on RF nuts doesn't mean Steve will like you more.

    man imagine if they had a phone number you could call or an email address you could email. or maybe even a thread with all the DC reps listed that you could pm instead of making a post. wouldnt that be something.

    thats about what i paid to have an old alt rebuilt. that one also had a broken stud. so i think it sounds like a fair price.

    Yea, but he said the stud isn't replaceable. Can't connect power wire, then whats the point?

    read it again. they cant just reattach the stud, they have to replace the rectifier because the stud is part of it.

    at least thats my understanding of it.

    I see what your saying. It just threw me off with the guy saying it was a 145 on there and needs replaced. But then the following sentence said the stud cant be.

    I am in now way worried that these will not perform. So many people had great luck with Iraggi....the lack of CS is what sucks teh balls.

    I am worried about this damn rectifier thing tho. I mean the guy who is working on my shit knows alts some what but he dont know jack shit about HO alts. I dont want him replacing my rectifier with some POS that's gonna cause the alt to not do what it should.

    Me and him went back and forth last night and this morning about the fact that there is such a thing as a 300a. he meant he was gonna tell me my alts are only 130a. He worked for an alt/starte shop for 15 years so I know he knows what he is doing. I just want the right parts put back in.

    Honestly, call Mech or DCP and see what they tell you or even order the Rectifier and stud from them. I would prefer to spend a little extra and get it done by someone who knows about h/o alts, then spend the money and have it done wrong (not saying the guy would do it on purpose, but just not knowing our bad habits enough).
