  1. Yup, I have had the ZVX's in for about a month now. They are 2 ohm. My mistake your right. I messed up I thought that I could wire them down to .5 ohms. But now that I know that I can't I think that I will do 1 sub per amp at 1 ohm. Sorry for my mistake. But on a side note the ZVX's can handle 1 2500 per sub at max clean power if set by my DD-1 for extended periods of time? Or can they handle more power? I'm looking to get as much power to them as possible with it being clean and not going to destroy the subs. Which leads me to one of my questions, How much power can a single ZVX take?

What Will said. They can handle 2500 on each with clean power and the right electrical, but honestly, IMO, I would strap them to 2 ohm. 2500s are strapable and when straping, the impedance load is 2 ohm and two dual 2 ohm subs will be 2 ohm. That's my opinion though. Same wattage as running one amp to one sub at 1 ohm. :)

  3. Looks great man. Wish you could make me a decal for my bar! :) I need a reflective one lol

what do you need? i am thinking of making custom stickers for people on a case by case basis. The hardest part about ANY sticker (and most expensive) is getting the first one done due to it needing to be vectorized. If someone already has that file ready to go, its a piece of cake and CHEAP.

email me what you need i will see what i can do :D

Oh it's very simple. Just needs to say Irish Pub in some sort of Celtic lettering, reflective, and be about 8" tall letters.

What's your email. I'll order it now. Actually I just PM'd you on FB with my email. You can also see where I want to put it if you look at my vids of my bar. I got bored lol

Thanks man and sry to thread jack.

    BUTT accurate.

You sure you ordered the right ones? Dual 2s perhaps, by accident?

They have Dual 4s (according to the site), but it still doesn't mean it is accurate.

    I'm sticking with this. :)

This has happen to me lol

Hahaha. I looked to see for myself and saw the out of stock for the dual 2s and thought 'hmm, I could do that myself' lol.

  5. Done. That is some nice work man. It's awesome when you can find someone close by you can trust!

He def. deserves the A list!

Oh and for your wife's tats, saw her 'sleeve' in the video with the Accord and now my wife wants to start her sleeve after the one on her side is finished. I don't mind, cause it is my negotiation tool for more toys. :)

  6. I was just going to post the similar info as sayhuh.

I was asking steve about the light a weak ago.. and he said some should work iirc.

But your not going to get that amount of uva - uvb light output from a reptile bulb.

I use reptisun 10.0 bulbs for my parrot since he gets little natural light in the winter which is something birds, especially exotic birds need.

These are some of the strongest reptile bulbs on the market.

But beware because some come in uva alone, and some are uvb, however if the bulb IS uvb it automatically is uva, but not vice versa!!!

These reptile bulbs are weak, they are made to be right on the side of cages, or ontop, the farther away they get the weaker they are.

a 10.0 bulb is only putting out 10% of uva/uvb from the actual light output of the bulb.

    A 24inch T8 10.0 uva/uvb bulb is only putting out about 35mw at a 8inch height, 55mw at about 5inches away. mw = micro watts.

As for black lights, I know they are stronger, a lot stronger and iirc they are uva, uvb, uvc. I done lots of research on the lighting and i thought I bookmarked a thread on a reptile forum that done intensive comparisons of reptile bulb but cant seem to find it. ;(

It depends on the black light used, but all put out about the same nm. as far as fluorescent bulbs go. Most, I believe are UVA, but I think you can get a mixture UVA, UVB. Something to do with phosphor. Speaking of birds. I love my Hybrid Macaw. :)

Use of reptile bulbs will still work, but time to cure may slow.

  7. UV light comes in all shapes and sizes (other than from the sun). Pet lamps (fish and reptiles, etc), florescent bulbs and more.

The sun puts off UV between 300 and 700 NM (UVA and UVB combined), so if you find a light that puts off the same, then it will work exactly like the sun (300-700 is only thing that makes it through the ozone).

Weather, altitude, latitude, and time of year play a factor in the amount UVs from the sun. If he is saying 1-2 minutes, I would guess it may fluctuate some, but not much between light bulbs, sun and area. Heat has nothing to do with UV, since UV is a wave length.

    A black light works fine..

Unless I am mistaken lol. BTW, I am in!!
