  1. The bad part is he has one and never used it. He could have tested it himself. Must not be man enough to test it himself.

He is referring to Ampmedics tool..I think

I don't know, but that is border line slandering. To blame a tool, make fun of people using the tool, etc..yea, this along with my SKar amp being 'repaired' by him; I think I am done with any company that uses him as a warranty shop.

  2. I would not recommend an SK-4500.1 on (4) IVX Subwoofers unless turned way down :P, that is a lot of power!

Well at 2 ohms it would be about 2600 watts. Divide that by 4 and you get 650 lol

I figured as much, but with those prices, figured I would ask! haha

EDIT: Awaits VVX blowout to buy 20 8s lol...but then how to wire them to 1(ish)ohm hahaha

  3. Steve you should really set these "systems of the month" for the guys with the little systems here on the forums and facebook so its fair its only the bigger system guys who win ....just sayin

Maybe if you trolled harder, you would find out that they do split them up for small systems, large systems and, in this case, an all in random drawing for great SOTM goodies that are donated (free to the winners) by great companies within the SMD and car audio community. They do not HAVE to do this or owe it to you, but do it as a thank you....just sayin.

    Congrats Hunter! Lucky duck! ;):P

  4. While that helps it does not tell me how much it puts out at 13.8 volts

no one can give you an exact measurement man. Cuz no one has your exact install,,,,plus it will go up or down with voltage fluctuation and box rise. An approximation is the best your gonna get without buying one and clamping it yourself.

Couldn't have said it better myself lol

That and .6 ish volts difference is minimal and probably won't even be noticed. =)

    So I shouldn't worry then?

No. 1400 is a good rough estimate and I'm pretty sure the numbers they post are rated at 14.4 volts. For instance, if you look through some of their amps, they actually list 14.4v next to the rated RMS.

  6. Sk4500 will not be warrantied. .5, let's say you do and the amp fires and SKar will not cover the repair, you are out of more money...now if you buy two 2500s, then run one to each sub at 1 ohm, then you are still getting what you wanted and within warranty. Might as well spend a little extra and do it right than spend more in the long run. Or sell that sub and buy D4s and run the 4500 on the D4s. It's your own gamble running below recommended warranty impedance. ...especially on a daily system. :)

Or go with Cresando amps and the warranty .5 ohm (how ever spell their name lol)

  7. Was confused..so are you saying you want a 10?

LoL. I'm liking. Interested to see you do some in car tests too.

LOL yea..GET ME A TEN NOW! :deadhorse:

didnt realise i posted in this one that many times haha...I just get excited when it gets bumped...those surrounds and baskets have me anxious

Yea, but I'm curious to see real world tests. I never doubt Jacob and with the way these look, they may be my new replacements. Standing by for specs and an in car test. I only need 4 15s... =)
