People like you ruin this website for people trying to learn. We have to start somewhere. OP- I wouldnt try it. Its a huge upgrade if you do even 16 volts. Different alternator. Batteries. Stick with a 12v system and just keep a HO alt or 2.

Say you have 2 18s in 10 cubes. Whats the smallest port you think you could pull off? I have 120sq in and i seem to have issues. I need the people advice. Thanks

Thats reinsurance for me bro The box is 45widex35deepx17tall port is 14 3/4 tall x 8.125 wide and 9 long i figure with it loading off the back the tuning will drop a few but it sounds great so far. JUST got an email from rusty this morning with a tracking number. Sub will be here tomorrow. So tonight im cutting the hole and re-wireing. I already took friday off so i can make some vids. LOL. I thought of useing dowels. Men around here thats have been doing their whole lives use them. I just think the box will be on the way its built. And all i ever wanted to do is pull off a hair trick. Ever since seeing steves vids back when i was 15 and had just 2 dual 10s. Gotta say i would have nothing close to what i have today if these people on here didnt share their knowledge and exsperience. My first post was like are w1s better then rockford p3s and people started bashing me and telling look at FI then DC. Crazy how there are so many different types of subs.

The port is just as tall as the box. its 1.5inch thick on the inside. all the 45s are on the edges and stand up as supports in the box. I think im good. Ill let you know if i have a sub jump through the roof. But like everything else. I dont know untill i try it. So far the box is SOLID! And doesnt flex, couldnt be happier with it.

Yes its going to be a keeper. im looking to rap it in either vinyl or suede. Some kind of smooth material. Black on top and sides. Silver like the DC logo on the subs around the port and back side. Yes thats a maxxlink 100. It works great because i have both those amps on that one sub right now. Each amp to each coil. The box came out so good i kind of wanna finish it off right with rapping it. And i plan on doing more then that. I wanna talk to team sundown about running their amps at SBN and sporting their logos along with DC. After displacement each sub should have around 5.25-5.5 And on a sundown 3500 i think it with give me an eargasim. :hairtrick:

Its an envoy xl. And im frickin stoked to get my other sub. I really think it should be here by friday. It got shipped last friday.

SBN is like heaven for me. Yes ill be there. I was in lake mary just west of daytona. My dad lives there. And we just used screwes on our first box but ever since then we've used 1 1/2inch nail and locktite. However on this one we switched it up and used elmers woodglue. We will see how it holds. My last box i had with just one 18 was made with 1 1/2 nails and never crumbled or even split. Im different i guess. But my way works for me.

BTW LOGANBERRY, look at the batteries now. I think you will feel better..Just had to give myself a little soldering 101 and terminals.

I have both amps at 2 ohms right now. so 2200rms from hifonics. i say around 1800-2000. im still deciding on how much power i wanna give to them. I have a girl wanting to buy my 3 hifonics so once i sell them im going to see if anyone has 2 dc 3000.1 or 2 sundown 3500s. But its up in the air right now.

I bought my 2nd level 5 2 fridays ago and was hoping to get it by this weekend. However the CES put a delay on shipping but i still finished my box. Its 12 cubes @ 34hz. I only cut the first hole so far because i still need a little bass. And surprising my lvl 5 can still preform damn good in 12 cubes. Well, on to the porn. Before: Just 6 cubes at 30hz 1 18"- And the build.. We bought 3 sheets. ONLY needed 1.75 Nail gun i got for christmas worked really well. Was freezing in the garage so we called it a night last night.

Hard to believe thats enough port space out of that 3" port.

well, i had 2200rms going to my lvl 5 when i first got it. It still got low. Ive had no issues with mine.

Anyone have anything in mind?
