  1. The clasic is considered gen 6. I have the same problem with my 9512. I have to use AV cables. I have a friend that says a touch works on his to play video. You may want to give that a try.

thats wierd. i tried it with a touch, a nano, and a class AND with a/v and it didnt work lol

my friend has a 9412. what do you have? With my 9512 I use the A/V cables and have to control everything on the ipod. the headunit controls only work for music.

  2. im looking into doing a build with two dvc 4 ohm sa-8" on a saz1200d.if anyone can help me with ported cubic feet needed for these 2 subs?. tunning it to around 35hz, its going to be in a center console so its probably going to be on the smaller side.if anyone has any kind of specs for the sub or amp that will help me with the box design it would help, thanks

I'm pretty sure Jacob reccomends .6 cu. ft.

  3. Just design and build it yourself. You will feel so much more pride when showing it off knowing that you done it all. This is the perfect one to start with as well, small enclosure with a single driver. Just decide where you want it to go and do as chrislun said, L"xW"xH"/1728 don't forget to account for speaker and port displacement. I think Sundown is recommending 12"^2 for port area.

  4. id think its a 55. a 37 is taller and shorter. I have one in the basement. I have a 55 in the basement too. and a 10. and a 20 high. but thats a freshwater fish. Have fun with it.

I am kinda wrong it's considered a 38. ;) A 55 should be 21" high. I have one under my house too. :) ...and a 30, 10, 20. LOL Why is it that we accumulate extras in whatever hobby we are in??

  5. Just going on the gravel alone, that's a freshwater setup. The tank size I believe is a 37 gal. I am not sure on the fish. If you are interested in getting into a saltwater setup my suggestion is to start reading everything you can before setting it up. Like n8 said the tank needs to "cycle" before adding any critters to the mix. A good place for knowledge is www.thereeftank.com

  6. all dude said about optima is that they waste up to 15% of the inside of the case so they can't put out the power in the same size package for anyone that doesn't want to watch the 15 min video

I wish you had made this post this morning before I wasted 15 minutes waiting for him to tell me a reason why you should stay away from spiral. If space is the only down side, I don't see a real reason not to buy them. They are more readily available as most autoparts stores carry them and they are considerably less expensive.
