even after the bracing i was still a bit over 7 cubes after bracing and port and subs and all. wow, that was redundant, not going to fix it though. Anyway, i figured id rather brace it to shit than have it flex right?

ill post some stuff up in a min, not sure if ill run subs up port back or everything back, its going into a blazer when i get it, but these are a few designs ive made for 2 15s tuned around 30 Hz and 7 cubes net EDIT: PICS May have overdone it on the bracing on this box Heres a view without the top and another one

So, a 3k or 3500 to power the pair, a 3k on each is not an option at the moment, or a 2k on each. What do you guys think?

how pricy are the atomic amps?

way down the road it will be 3k each, but till then ill have to keep it in the 1700-2200 range on each woofer

So im looking to get 2 lvl 4 xl 15s in the future. Im tryin to figure out what to push them with. Im thinking either an AQ2200D, DC 2000.1, or SAZ1500D on each sub. Or an AQ3500D, DC 3000.1 or SAZ 3000D (o the 3500 when theyre in stock and i have $$$) to power the pair. Im not sure what to go with. What would you go with if you were to run one per sub, one for the pair, and overall and why? Or just what would you do overall and why.

Ya, im workin up some new designs and i dont plan on losing any volume, i got some room to play with as far as a box for 2 12s is concerned.

i know my box is too big for my subs, but they dont mind. I went from a 2.2 cube/chamber sealed box to 2 cube per chamber ported tuned to 34, now i got 5 cubes after displacement tuned to 30 and i love it. I dont have much port area, but it hits the lows really well for 2 12s off 900w total. I know 5 cubes is too big for these but i get such great lows out of it that i am hesitant to change my box.

Well i know DC is a good company, and that was the one with the highest output. Only problem would be that is mucho expensive. But if getting that alt saved me from having to buy 3 group 31s and a Group 34 (not sure if thats what my blazer takes or not, ill look into it) to 1 or 2 G31 batts and a G34, then its worth it. Im pretty sure you can fit the AD alts onto the 4.3L blazers

I was readin a thread, one guy who is running 2 5k amps at .5 ohms strapped off 2 group 31s and a 220A alt. ya his voltage drops, and its a daily setup from what i read. Do i really need 400A of alt and 3 group 31s for less power at a higher impedance?

not sure how much a 350 runs, i found a 280 for about 350 and another one that was about 550. If i could fit dual alts id probably just run 2 180s or 200s. And a 3100 will not fit under my hood. so ill have to put them in back\

I have a 2000 Chevy blazer, stock alt, stock batt. 1/0 from batt back and from batt to chassis (still need to do big 3 but also need some more wire for it. Hopefully this year ill save up enough to do 2 LVL4XL15s on either a DC 3000.1 or AQ3500D at 1 ohm and a DC 120.4. Im trying to see what i need to save up to do this properly. I may start off with one XL since ive heard these can handle power pretty well, then save up and get the 2nd. Anyway, what will my electrical need to keep up with all this? Im not doing this tomorrow or anything, but i wanna know how much ill need to save up for my next build.

What kinda electrical do you need to do to run 3-4k RMS? I design boxes myself, ive designed one for subs and port back, one for subs up port back and one for subs and port up. yes i plan on upgrading my electrical. I dont know what all ill need. When i do it i want it to be able to handle 4.5k at 1 ohm to my subs (for future) and probabaly a 4 ch puttin out around 125w per channel. This way I only have to do my electrical once. Only problem is, i dont know what all that will require to do the job the right way. How big of an alt, how many runs of what, how many batts and what size? All that is stuff that i dont know

This is going to happen sometime this year, not soon neccessarily, im just trying to figure out what i need to save. I got about 5k in debt to pay off before i can start playing with a new system. My rear diff went out and the day i got it back from the shop the trans went out, all together it was about 5k and i had to fix the trans cuz i had just given him a check for 3k for the rear end.

Alright, would you say 2 15 xls or one 18xl? I dont yet have the amp. But i wanna run them off the same amp because they will be in one common chamber, it is just the way i would prefer to do it.

2900 a piece? How long do they take that for? Im now thinking either 2 LVL4 XL 15s on a DC 3000.1 or AQ3500D, or 1 LVL5 18 on the same amp. Trying to decide if i wanna do an 18 with possibly going to 2 18s in the future or 2 15s with potential for 4 15s in the future...but also what will i like more for the time being? Which would you guys run and why?
