  1. looks like i need to add an extra 120 onto what i need to save up. Will XLs like 1700 daily?
  2. I know it is, when i smell them start to get stinky i back off. Nvm the half hour then, daily setup, most continuous power to them? box will be about 7 cubes net tuned to 32 Hz, subs up port up in a 2000 blazer
  3. I have a pretty good idea of what im doing. I have alot of electrical upgrades im going to have to do with this too. Ive got a bombproof box i designed that i am going to build. Plan on setting the gains with an o scope. Im just wondering whats the most clean power these will take in a daily setup sometimes playing for the better part of an hour but probably not much more than half an hour straight at any point in time.
  4. What would you suggest for the max continuous power for a daily setup for 2 of the following (max on each sub) LVL 4 15s, LVL4 w/ LVL 5 coils 15s, LVL 4 XL 15s. Thanks in advance.
  5. anothe thing, ive thought about subs and port up cuz idk how close you can get the port to the hatch. Im planning on having the port be atlieast 5-6" wide
  6. So im lookin at gettin some LVL 4 15s. I designed a box for 2 of them for my 2000 blazer, subs and port back. Its what ive had best results with so far, but everyone says subs and port up, so idk. When i had subs and port up it was not as loud as subs and port back. The box is 6 cubes net tuned to 30 Hz with a big ass port and lotsa bracing. 77 in of port (thinkin it needs more personally, its only 11.5 per cube. Also would subs up port back hit harder? Also, how much power will these like daily? Like, whats the most.

  8. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...ic=40479&hl after reading this i could make these. It doesnt cover everything but it will get ya started
  9. ^^^welcome to costco, i love you LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I love idiocracy
  10. unless he was...running from the cops maybe? Tryin to get away from some crime he just committed? No matter what the reason, fucking tard. "my ex wife was tarded, shes a pilot now"
  11. thats what i was thinking, i just didnt know since it is plywood if predrilling and then screwing would hold or not. Ive never really used plywood for much of anything, but it was only $8 a sheet more than 3/4" MDF at the menards down the street. They also had baltic birch plywood, now that was some expensive shit. like upwards of 60 a sheet, maybe more
  12. ive done a few with VDJ, and for my skill level, they arent bad, i lost all but 3 when my laptop died. Ive played them for a few friends, most of which dont like hip hop. One of them appreciates hip hop. He is a music guy, who appreciates all types of music. And he thought they were alright, then i told him i screwed and chopped it, and he was like, damn, thats not bad for your first 3
  13. So today i was asked to do a headliner for an old Olds. Think its a 67, dont remember though. He wants it to be done like the headliners in modern cars. Im trying to figure out exactly how to get going on this. Ive got time, not sure exactly when im going to start it. Its going to be a show car for a local garage that is tryin to get their name out there. This is something new for me. Any ideas? Im just trying to figure out how to get this bitch started, i have some ideas, but am always open to hearing others ideas too.
  14. So i was lookin at MDF vs. Birch prices, and they were pretty similar. Only thing i was wondering is how do you attatch it, shitload of glue and some screws, just like MDF?
  15. i know its more for mixin, but you can use it to make s/c songs
  16. What programs does everyone use? Currently I have virtual DJ, its not bad, but im guessing there is more and/or better out there
  17. I know, and it sucks, its such a good song, but the clipping makes it sound so bad and im pretty sure the amount of clipping in it is just horrible for speakers at loud volumes
  18. So ive been lookin around, swing my door by gucci slams, but its clipped to hell. Is there anywhere that i can find a clean unclipped version of it?
  19. what about 20-25 on a box tuned to 30? My subs arent getting much power (only 450 each) and i play a few songs that get LOW but they never get stinky, well, rarely do, like, almost never.
  20. AudioQue SDC2.5 15? Rated at 600 RMS, but from what ive heard they handle more than rated. I would imagine 750 each wouldnt hurt them. Wait, shit, i think they only come in D4. But...could do a new amp too if you wanted. IDK, just throwing it out there.
  21. Its not that hard to be honest. I have some experience with Pro E and AutoCAD and that made it easy enough. And its way easier than either of those programs.
  22. made my first attempt work for a pair of 18s. Ive been stuck between 2 18s or 4 15s. Im thinking 2 18s for the $ factor. 2 subs and 2 amps is cheaper than 4 subs and 2 amps.
  23. Thanks, cant wait till i can afford to install that
