  1. well, lemme ask ya'll this...I'm down between 2 x 10's or a single 15". Like I said, I'm gonna be running about 900 watts at 2ohms. Any recommendations on a 15"??
  2. What's the best way to hook them up? Should I just get two single voice coil subs? It all needs to run into a 2ohm load.
  3. I'm only gonna be pushing 900 watts rms. Any suggestions?? They're gonna most likely be sealed. For now, the amp is a Sony XMGTR6001.
  4. Should I go with 22's or 24's??? I can't decide. Remember, it's got the 2/3 Ground Force Drop.
  5. Okay, what should I do next??? I'm down to buy something nifty this week. The choices are: 15" sub (not sure what to go with...) Roll pan New Headlights Lots of Interior Accessories (Billet...most likely) New K&N Intake 77 series C'mon guys...help a bro out.....What should I get????
  6. I've been looking at Surco racks. Any suggestions?? It kinda goes along with the SWAT look, I'm going for.
  7. I got mine all wired up this morning. First impressions...very good! I've got my 6.5 crossed over from 80-300hz with about 200rms on them and the 4" comps from 300hz-up with around 150rms on them. They seem to take whatever you push at them. I love the silk dome tweeter. I may later, swtich to my RF Power Tweeters, but these seem good. I'll let ya know how they do.
  8. I definitely will. I'm stoked like crazy. I've heard nothing but good stuff about CDT.
  9. I got my new CDT Audio 4" comps. Yay!! Here's one of them installed in the door. I'm going for the stock look. I know...I know. Maybe later, I'll go full-out crazy. I've just had 3 systems stolen in the past, so I'm getting more and more stealth. So, watcha think?? I haven't hooked them up yet, but they will be hooked up tomorrow. Oh yes, they will!!
  10. I upgraded all my 128k's to 256k and i can tell a big difference. I downloaded keak da sneaks's - town business and Ren da Heat Monsta - West Up and they sound much better than some of the older stuff I downloaded. Much better highs and lows. The volume is a million times better. Hope that helps. jason
  11. See, that's what I wanted to hear. That's why I was gonna keep them in the doors. Then just add some 8's in the kickpanels ora single 8" on the center hump under the dash. I don't want just loud to be loud. I'm a musician and I want great sound, not just loud. I love SQ systems. No offense to all the SPL guys. I love my bass, as much as anyone, but I really dig listening to all kinds of music and hearing all the subtle nuances of the music. jason
  12. I've really been thinking and I really like the idea of the a-pillars, but I don't wanna build them. I'm lazy and don't have a shop or garage to do them in. I would have to do them in my apartment and that ain't happening. I was thinking of going with these: Kar Design Anybody had any luck with these??
  13. I was gonna drop a wood enclosure down into the steel enclosure and then sound deaden between the metal and wood. So, it should be completely rattle free. As far as the 3way's go up front. I'm still debating on putting my 4" comps in the a-pillars and then keep the 6.5's in the doors and just a single 8" hidden subwoofer, just for some upfront bass. Watcha think roscoe??
  14. So, ya think I should ditch my 6.5" in the doors and do 8" in the doors with my 4" midrange and tweets?
  15. Not sure on sub yet. I was thinking RF T1 15". But people on here are slowly changing my mind to Fi or RE. Any suggestions??
  16. Don't know if I wanna rip the dash apart for a indash setup. I'm thinking kicks or floorboard. It would go along with the idea that I've had about sinking a tub in the back of the Tahoe for a single 15", where the spare tire is. Any thoughts on this, sir roscoe?? jason
  17. oh, and I'll also be getting a RF 3sixty.2 soon. Just so we're all clear. Ha.
  18. I took out the kicks. Friends kept getting in and kicking them. So, I went 3 way in the front. I have the front split bench seat, just so ya know.
  19. yeah, working with a 2003 Tahoe. Here's my setup right now: Alpine iDa-x100 (soon to be changed to double din, possibly Kenwood 8120 or Pioneer F90bt RF T-162 comps in all doors with tweeters disconnected in front doors CDT Audio 4" comps in front doors for midrange Sony GTR2002 on mids and one on rear comps DB Drive amp on 4"comps (not sure the model number) Alpine 500 watt amp on Type S sub (that's going out realllllll soooonnn!) I'm about to plop down for a 15" sub, but I only want it to play from 30-40hz and down. So the 8" will be playing from 30/40hz to 80hz or so. Now any suggestions???
  20. It's gonna be a loud SQ system. I'm not gonna compete. Just looking to please my ears. So, I was thinking an 8" sub upfront for a little better lower midbass response. I have a 3 way component setup in the doors now. RF T-162 midbass and CDT Audio 4" comps to fill out the rest. Any suggestions? or do ya'll think that would be worth it?? I just don't wanna crossover my midbass so low.
