So the XS Power d3100 would be a good starting battery to replace my main battery?
-
I've got a 2009 Chevy Colorado. Im running around 2200rms now but I'm wanting to add another Rockford T1500bd soon. So close to 4k. What's the suggestion for a battery? I just did the Big 3 but I'm still on factory alternator but thatll be upgraded soon, too. So, suggestions?
-
Thanks bro! So upgrade the battery then possibly alternator?
hells yea, also did you grind the paint off for that frame ground?
Yessir. I sandpaper'd it down to metal.

Got the frame ground.
And the engine block.
All connected.
Just need to upgrade my battery now. And get a voltmeter to see what voltage, I'm running at.
-
I believe I'm gonna try to get that bolt right there. It's on the actual frame that goes to me bumper! Watcha think?
-
-
Will do. I'll run some wires down through in the morning and hook them up that way.
-
So, for the frame ground, I need to find a spot that's a little stronger reinforced?
-
Or I guess "strut tower" not strut!
-
I don't have a strut tower, as it's a Chevy Colorado. So where do y'all suggest?
I crimped them by squeezing the shit out of them with channel locks!

Today, I started the big 3 on my truck. I bought some 0g KnuKnoceptz KCA wire.
20ft and gold terminals from Darvex
Hooked up the positive to the alternator...
And the ground to the body. Is this a good spot?
Here's the grounds hooked to the battery. The open one is for the engine block to negative terminal.
My questions are:
1. Is my ground to the body okay? Or should I move it?
2. Will any bolt on the engine block do or should I find a certain one?
Thanks in advance, guys. Y'all are a great help!

Women? Drive? What....?
Ha ha ha. That's why my wife has 18's with lots of sidewall cause she curb checks everything!!

they look awesome bro!!! cant wait for the vid:)
Thanks boss. I'm happy with them! They're louder than I thought they'd be. I'm thinking about taking the 5 1/4's that were in the pillars before and putting them in the front doors. Ha ha. Cause hell, why not?!
-
The other side. Sorry for the horrible pic. This is the best camera I have. I'll try to get a video up soon of them playing.
-
This is the end result. I went with the Herculiner cause it matches other stuff on my truck. These things are loud!!!
-
That tread pattern on those perellis is sick!!

Very nice man!! I agree. The 285's should look a lot better. I don't like the bubbled look either.
-
Very nice start! Thats the style I went with:)
Very nice bro!!! How do they sound? Crisp and loud?
-
The last setup. My truck is all black and blue. So, I never really liked the silver too much.

I decided to redo my pillars again. I first had a set of 3" components and then went to a set of Rockford 5 1/4" components in each pillar. Now, I'm gonna go with some 4" Rockford coaxials and gain some windshield space back, that I lost with the last incarnation.
Here's the beginning...

Yeah, I need to upgrade my charging system. My next purchase after the amp was to get either a new Alternator or more batteries and then the subs! Suggestion on the power?? Ha ha!
Need suggestions on battery...
