  1. Yeah but mine has like a box that it goes in, its like completly enclosed except for the terminals, I'm pretty sure...
  2. Im a little confused by your post creyc, and yeah DC explorer, I keep watching your vids, we have like the same car. Lol I have an 18" btl, you have an 18" DC. I'm gonna send you a pm.
  3. I was reading a bunch of info about stock batts under the hood, and I for sure need to upgrade mine shortly. I think a kinetic 1400 or some power master would be great for me. I don't think they would fit perfectly in my 2002 Ford explorer xlt, so how would I go about making like a custom bracket or something along those lines? Is that what I would need?
  4. This kenwood sub, maybe the 3011? is 38$ at some online stores. Go look at them, they get pretty loud in a ported box with my experience.
  5. I would like to know this also, I don't like having to ask people everytime I want to find it of a song... I'd be asking a lot haha
  6. oh wait, let me see. I know its 5 inches high from the top, i thought it was 5 inches to the back from the top of the port.. Hold on. Okay. That pic of the port inside the box i posted is not the updated one. I cut off about an inch I thought, but yeah that would only leave 4.5". Looked right with a tape measurer. So IDK I guess I'm just not too sure. I might just have to redo the entire port... IDK how tho, Id have to rip the tops off... Nvm, I can't do that, I have to make due with the port how it is now, and wiat till later to rebuild the box. Is it still possible to tell the tuning of it?
  7. should be 7 cbft. It is 5" high btw to the other poster, so isn't that right?
  8. Haha, alright looks like I managed to confuse everyone. Here is a pic of the port in the box: Here is the port that should be 33hz: Here is the port now (the 21" measurement comes from the 22", I had to cut an 1" off to get it to equal the port opening on the back of the box):
  9. Alright, so I messed up on my port. The port is smaller and longer instead of wider and shorter. I have a BTL, and whenever it plays the lows, I feel like its not hitting them as hard as it should sometimes. I guess I don't know how its supposed to hit in the 30hz - 38 hz region. People say songs like Juice box will hit hard, and it barely hits hard for me it seems like... same goes for other low songs Here is my port as of right now: Could someone tell me the tuning of it?
  10. lol alright. Seems legit, 180 amp external fuse rating. I know taht doesnt determine it all but Just sayin
  11. how much would you re sell it for? Even if it did a little bit less I'd buy it.
  12. lmao how? Aren't you worried about completly killing your car? I for sure am... Mines an 02 explorer xlt. Have you done anything to help from destorying it? It actually fixed my cd player and my driver side door lock lol.
  13. wow. VERY descriptive, thanks a ton. And a positive for vista? Thats good for sure. I would have to go buy some CD-RW's once I upgrade my headunit. I really like that, I can't believe it works that easy. Does the CD get like, worn out over time? I dont know the words to say it, but tell me if you don't get it
  14. and when you burn mp3 cd's doesnt it fit a lot more songs too?
  15. my box is too big for someone to take out of my car without me noticing lol.
  16. thats so freaking cool that your school is doing that lol....
  17. wow... I did not know this. this changes my mind completely. You know when you play a CD how good the SQ is? Well nothing so far has compared to it for me. This wireless adapter im borrowing doesnt hit the highs as well. I know its not the sub because before I broke my CD player, it would hit it WAYYY better. If the iPod connection (through the original iPod cable) works and sounds how a cd does, I will for sure be buying a different Headunit.
  18. Really, like what? It has 5v pre outs, a subwoofer rca input, Won't support my ipod touch but I could just use an AUX cable (could I not?), looks simple and easy to use. Let me know!!
