  1. Hmmm. Come on lvl 6 10"s?
  2. ha ha x2 i never thought it would get steve. Proved me wrong
  3. Are you also planning on upgrading later? If your only running 1000wrms (or even 2000) why go with the lvl 5? I would say stick with the lvl 5 but get a bit more power. I have lvl 4xls and love them on over 4k. I just heard it takes a lot o power to really get the lvl 5 moving. Edit: wow. I just realized these posts were from April. My bad
  4. true true. thank you
  5. I think the audiopipe 3ks do 3000wrms at 2ohm one channel. Pretty cheap too
  6. Testing was just by ear. My current setup is my favorite so far. It gets loud and low. I plan on flaring the ports just dont know if i want to order it or try to flare them on my own.
  7. So here it is. Outwith the old, in with the new Here is a pic with it all done. Had to take the old ports out, cutout for the bigger ports, then adjust the amp rack to fit under the ports. Didnt get much time to play with it tonight. Maybe tomorrow we will see what this thing can really do.
  8. I checked the port are for each option and the two 6" tube will give more port area. So I bought the 6" tubes. Couldn't find any 8". I will give this a shot. If I don't like it then I will go to the 6" x 6" slot
  9. ALL options are tuned to 35 hertz. With subs inverted on rear of box, port forward: 5.79 cubes with Two 6" tube ports 5.9 cubes with one 8" tube port(if i can find one) 6.0 cubes with a 6" X 6" square port Subs and port forward 5.58 cubes with a 6"x6" port what will give me the best output daily?
  10. if you give me two more XLs then i will wall it. YEA
  11. my previous box was 6.2 cubes then it had a 6" x 15.5" by 23" slot port it was tuned to about 42 Hertz and was about 4.8 cubes after all displacement
  12. i would agree except that isnt an option due to space. after port and sub displacement with subs and slot port forward i would have less the 5 cubes.
  13. When I switched to tube ports it seems like it sounded better at a lower volume but sounds worse at a higher volume and has much less output.
  14. How many cubes gross and net? I want to get louder. i know these subs can do ridiculously more. I just want to get the most out of them in my trunk i can.
  15. They are D1. I dont like for my box, so i am going to change it up. Many people suggested more port area. Here are my thoughts i don't know how difference they would be. so LET MW KNOW WHAT WAY TO GO. ALL options are tuned to 35 hertz. With subs inverted on rear of box, port forward: 5.79 cubes with Two 6" tube ports 5.9 cubes with one 8" tube port(if i can find one) 6.0 cubes with a 6" X 6" square port Subs and port forward 5.58 cubes with a 6"x6" port Other suggestions?
  16. I have checked into Mechman, Iraggi, DC Power and a couple others. Most were 200-260 amp alts and roughly $270-400. Depends on vehicle and how many amps you need.
  17. The challenge was horrible actng but decent fights. Also undisputed 2 and 3. No so much Kung Fu, but martial arts.
  18. Im planning on switching back to the last box after i make some adjustments. Subs and port(slot) forward. I will loose some volume to the box, but i liked it better. had some more air flow. Might give this design another shot after i get some 6" tubes thanks a lot Rusty.
  19. This will help if you make a slot port http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp
  20. Thanks guys 16.5" x 36" x 22" (6.13 cubes) two 4" x 6.1" tube ports.
  21. If i can get my hands on some 6" ports then i will probly try it. I agree it didnt seem like much port area, but it moves air a bit better then the old setup
  22. Yes, i had a slot port before. I remade the box, the other one after i checked my measurements for the 100th time i realized were wrong and it was tuned to about 42 hertz. this box is now at 35. It moves a lot more air, and sounds cleaner. but sounds completly different then the slot. I havent decided which i like better yet. I still have my old box just in case.
