  1. having had my 21st not long ago.......you go to new orleans. no ifs ands or buts about it. you can get completely fuckin hammered down there and noone cares. everyone is hammered and if you dont act a fool, they all love being drunk along side of you. dont give money to people saying they cant go home unless they get gas money.
  2. yah, you remove the torsion bars and shocks completely. sorry if i didnt specify that.
  3. I have a regular cab Toyota, and want something pretty loud in it. I want to spend ~2000 total, aside from a headunit. I am no fan of any company in particular but I dont want to run JL or similar. I want to run "independant" companies I guess you would call it. I know that stereo integrity is coming out with a shallow mount BM sub..but I don't know if I want to do something like that or run a console setup. What I was thinking about doing was to run a console, and then port it behind each seat. A couple 12's or a few 10's. For amps, I don't have a clue, I guess sundown is at the top right now but I don't know who else I would look at for amps. If I run 2 12's I want 2 amps. If I run 3 10's I want one, or two that can be stacked. I plan on buying/having built a 200 amp alt, and a couple batteries. What's everyone think?
  4. you may only want something to raise/lower but you don't want stuff on your ride that will fail. i say "will" because...it WILL FAIL. Aim/airbagit/and the 10000 other names they go by are WIDELY known to sell polished turds to anyone willing to buy. Sell it on Craig's list, or eBay and just thank yourself you got rid of the garbage. It's someone else's mistake then. you want the quality parts of places like suicide doors, grant fab, and the others i mentioned. i can get parts for you as well and probably cheaper than other places i just don't have a website to go through. i've done my share of sales and it's worked out just fine. pm me if you want. i just would hate to see you get it all done up and then it fail giong down the highway and hurt yourself or worse, someone else and their family. suspension is one place you don't save a hundred bucks on the setup.....your car (and life) rides on it
  5. you dont need to ever order or use parts from AIM industries. That company is the devil of anything car related. I'm sorry you got screwed, but it's just how they work and could have been avoided by going with someone like suicidedoors, gravity works, street issue customs, or waylayed inc. Your going to have to remove that shock in there, probably notch the frame, remove and cut out all bumpstops, plate lower arm, clearance upper arm, fit upper bracket correctly, gusset it....it's not for "the faint at heart". I hate to say it but I would accept the fact you bought sub par equipment from a subpar company and start all over. Maybe sell it on ebay?
  6. Lv=Av*1.84*10^8/[Vb*1728(Fb/.159)]-.823sqrtAv Lv= length Vb= box volume Fb= frequency Av=port area what i have always used.
  7. not to highjack your thread, but does anyone have the equation for port length if you have port area and all?
  8. heres my suggestion. it may be something you dont wanna hear....but take it in. buy you a head unit that will do anything and everything you could ever want to do in your ride. once thats payed for move on to an amp for your doors. 4 channel so u can run comps and 6x's off of it. buy you the componant set you want. PG RSD are good budget speakers. 6x's, i guess you would match them or just find something that can be used for rear fill. they dont need to be powered to match your front output. once you've done that you shouldnt have much left over. SAVE SAVE SAVE. set your limit at a grand to begin with an save while you are getting your car setup with a better speaker setup. by he time you have received, dug thru, and installed all of your front stage and rear fill, your going to have some more cash. at that point you can start looking at amps and subs. don't expect to get much of anything for a grand if you want new equipment that you know will work. a lot of people are out to get you on some forums (NOT SAYING THIS ONE!). you just have to always be careful, i'd hate for you to lose any of your hard earned money. just accept your now looking at a hobby that will take a load of cash for you to be satisfied and think about if it's worth it to you, so you can fully commit to build something killer.
  9. if its anything like a mazda/toyota truck, you completely remove the torsion bars. if its anything like old desotos (circa 59) your not going to want to mess with it. what a pain! heres my yota when it was bagged by innovative customs. your going to want to remove your torsion bars. hopefully the car is setup with upper and lower control arms and not a strut. air cylinders are garbage, screw em. you plate the lowers or like mine raise the bag up, so u can take your bolt in and out to hold the bag down. your going to want a upper bag plate and it MUST be gusseted well. This is going to hold ALL of your front end weight on your ride. Think about that when you gusset it. Mine could have used a couple up top, but held fine.
  10. does anyone know what year these came out and ran until?
  11. 7618 pullout tape deck with the original benzi box! alpine 4905 6 disc changer for the dash. old school all the way!
