Damn, this is a great find.
I never like mixing it up, because I usually need small amounts and don't like to waste a cup and brush.
Could you tell me if I would be able to find it under a other name in Europe? (could you tell me the company?)
-
No that would be fine. Just put it on the AGM setting.
whats the average life of a xs battery?
You can't just ask that.
But i'm pretty sure 5-7 years should be pretty normal. (maybe even more depending on how you use it.)

It's a very nice feature, especially since you can still choose in which section you want to sell it. (although I would probably prefer the new premium classifieds.)

I just went by a shop I went to a while back and they got my sound back right my frequency high enough to pick up more lows and adjusted my gains as well.these lil subs are slammin!!my left door Fallin to pieces and screws are flying out of my 6x9s..this 80prs sucks for highs and mids my Jensen picked up on my 4 channel better then this pioneer I may have to put my eq in here to add some voltage to fix this
If Jensen sounds better to you then the pioneer 80prs, then something is seriously wrong.

Can I still fuse this amp with a 250A fuse? I am using CCA 1/0 and I am getting a 250A alternator. Or should I go lower in fuse size?
Yes, you fuse for the wire. If the wire capacity is 250A.
-
should since theyre a high end company like rockford
edit i might be wrong
Skar is no where near Rockford, a lot closer to rockwood amplifiers then they are to rockford amps.
EDIT: to Big-A, I am exaggerating, but you shouldn't compare a amp like that to skar, especially not if you include customer service and reliability.

Not hating, just wondering: Don't super tweets and bullet tweeters have a useable frequency starting at 4-5k? How is this one so low?
Because he made a mistake posting the specs, the useable range is 2.2k-20khz.
But usually 3-4khz is where you would want to start using a bullet/super tweeter.(so you are correct indeed.)
Apparently the sensitivity is 106dB...
I can't seem to find any power handling yet.

Go buy a charger for it, what would a cheap one cost?
20-30 dollar? (i'm pretty sure it's a lot cheaper then a new battery.)

What surprises me is that someone claims 6db difference from tuning amps with different equipment then acts like we are stupid for not believing him?
blablabla
blablabla
I don't know if sound pressure can calculated like that.
I do.

you just said it yourself, different equipment. who knows, maybe my results were a fluke, hell i dunno. i honestly hope it is a fluke. maybe im looking for something a little different out of the o-scope, i dunno. maybe im looking for different shit out of the o-scope than what my understanding is of the dd-1. ive never said the dd-1 was junk, ive said multiple times that i think it is a great tool. but chillmasterwill saw it happen in my car, and we got quite a gain out of his 4runner using the oscope over the dd-1. maybe we are just looking at something a little different.
Well maybe you should show us how you do it.
Did you use the CD that came with the DD-1? (not a copy or anything else.)
A 6.5dB difference is a incredible difference.
What was the equipment used?
If you have gotten 1000W out of your amp by setting it with the DD-1, that means you needed 4500W to get a 6.5dB difference. (that's if you have no thermal compression.)
EDIT: just for fun, if you have set your gains with the DD-1, and 2000W would come out of your amp, then you need 9000W to get a 6.5dB difference. (again, no thermal compression included.)
See why the 6.5dB claim is so unbelievable?

Amps usually are linear throughout the whole frequency range.
The difference in wattage should be nowhere near audible.
So if you set it up at 40hz, it's very unlikely you'll have clipping at 30hz.(maybe 30-20hz is you have some special brazilian amp..But that's the amp that is bad)
If your friend burps, it shouldn't matter that the tone clips a little. Most of the times a little clipping will increase your score because it can put out more wattage.(sometimes even hard clipping gets you higher scores.)

It's just the way kids grow up these days, very safe, behind their computer and they don't get anything done themselves so instead of being mad at themselves they are hating on other people.
You are a great guy, you seem like that in every video and responses you post.
I don't understand how people can't thank you after you gave them something, in my opinion that's the least you can do.(eventhough i would thank you by atleast sending a personal card/letter back.)
It's hard to ignore those ignorant fucks, but you have to keep going because it will take a while till i've saved up enough to do a roadtrip to the US and meet you (and hopefully more SMD'ers.)
This forum is a great place and we can be here for free, sometimes even win things so anyone who doesn't appreciate what you are doing is just stupid beyond my comprehension.

I think those people are dead and don't really know/care.
Exactly, why bother people who are still alive in another place, then on a quiet remote cemetary where nobody will complain.
If people are put to rest there, why not a tire too?
What about the family burying their child or other loved one somewhere else in the cemetery? That would be why it is inconsiderate.
I'm pretty certain that no one was being burried at the moment of the burnout.

If the alternator can't supply enough current to keep your voltage above 12.8V-13V.
I hope you have a good strong stock alternator for 2000W. What alternator do you have, how much current does it produce?
-
what about this 1000w 6.5? It will play midrange hz just fine, 0.33 CH FT enclosure behind it
It's only 250W, NOT 1000W.
I want something to keep with my bass, more detailed loud voice, some one recommended beymas but Nootka sure which model. however I'm Not trying to modify my doors want to keep them stock. Each door currently consist of 1 tweeter & 8" speaker.Loud at what?
Loud at lower frequencies? loud at midrange? loud at high frequencies?
How much do you want to spend for "the loudest" midrange?
What does the rest of your system consist of? Do you have a highs amp?

I think you are going to be dissapointed when you find out that your approach of filling the whole back of the CRX won't give you great results for the money spend.
FIrst buy the CRX, or atleast get more information how to get it loud.
-
Do you have the last one in a bigger size? i like it a lot.

you shouldnt have removed my last reponses...they really set the record straight
Why not? Our forum is like our house. If you decide to come in with some muddy boots and leave dirt everywhere, well... 1. We don't like it. 2. Our 'maids'(I use that term lovingly ) will clean it up. And 3. don't be suprised if you aren't welcome
You just called all the moderators maids Even n8ball and ray...

you will definetly hear a difference! with 2k you wont hear anything cause subs will be gone. with 1.5k you better turn that gain down and play on cool days only otherwise you wont hear anything on that amp either. good luck with that! go 1500!! if that
You won't hear a difference at all between 1500w and 2000w clamped. It's barely a db difference.
With box rise it could be alot... You could only really be putting 600 watts now, but with upgrade amp it could 800. That is a big difference at such low wattage numbers, esp if there is a real quality difference between amps. Your 1500 watt amp might not really be 1500 watts rms.
Even with box rise you won't hear the difference. The differnce in percentage between those 2 power levels you mentioned are the same.
If the 2kw amp is a boss amp, you will definitely hear a difference between a actual 1500w and some boss audio 2000watts...
And you shouldn't take box rise into consideration, don't worry about it at all.
-
1500w will probably work better then the 2kw amp since he probably has no electrical upgrades.
But no you won't hear a difference in volume.
You CAN'T hear a 1dB difference , you won't hear a difference between 1500w and 2000w clamped.
You will probably get less then 1dB louder because of power compressiona and other circumstances.

You can run 5k on 1 battery with a 400a alternator for as long as you want..
