My only issue is why are they willing to sell him something that clearly failed in the past?
-
Im feeling a little sceptical but the CJ guy says he can get me a frame, and recone hmmm
CJ is a good guy, but listen to what Orion is telling you. He has first hand experience with a 12 inch level 6.

I even think the sp4 is going to be iffy with a 4 inch coil. Might not push it over its rated power. Would be much easier with a 3 inch coil. People had issues with 10 inch subs with 3 inch coils and I think this will be the same
I trust that Scott wouldn't put out something that wouldn't work mechanically. He's always said that he wouldn't produce it, if it didn't work.
But back to the OPs post. 12 inch subs with a 4 inch coil are a real PITA

Level 6 is a turd anyway,...imho.Have fun with a Level 6 12, as far as I know it's only been done once and the results were less than stellar.
It's been done before and like 88 said, the results weren't what you'd expect. If you want a sweet 12 that will work mechanically try using a sp4 12. I have a feeling you might be in for a headache of you make those 12 inch level 6s
cut its legs out from it, meh.
So you want the level 6 motor (that isnt all that) on a smaller basket, smaller coil, smaller spider?
sounds like a win.
Lmfao I was trying to be nice..... but.... Fawk me Hahahaha
I was trying to tone it down brotha ????

Man, I have a 5 gallon bucket that went to shit

Since they are on the signal input (rca) and not the speakers themselves which get disconnected during tuning you should remove them. This way a full pass signal is allowed through.
The directions say to have eq's set to flat and crossovers set open or full pass.
Don't mean to thread jack, but just wanted to say thanks bro. I've noticed that a lot of the questions being asked, you've been quick to respond. Thanks for being so helpful people like you are the reason I've stuck around on this forum.
-
Always learning just by looking at the things you do bro, keep posting pics and vids showing how you do things. We all appreciate it in our own way

I like it, but aren't you scared someone will steal those nice batteries? I know you said you're going to make a cover. I guess people are more trustworthy up north. Down south you can't have anything nice because some hater will always want to take your stuff. I always learn new stuff from this fourm. Keep up the good work man, as long as you have projects i won't stop learning hahaha
-
Man some times you guys are effed up to the noobs.
Welcome to the fourm. How many subs? What car?

so if you wire to .5 ohms your amp never really sees .5 after box rise?
That's right, the point of wiring lower is to keep the impedance closer to the amps highest output after box rise. The box rise all depends on the box though. Some people get very little box rise, which in most cases is a good thing, and for others it can rise a few ohms.

The Ampere 3800 is our old 3500D v.1 board -- the v.2 is really nothing like that anymore
Well... That escalated quickly ?
-
Is everything suppose to vibrate and move violently like that?
-
I was just thinking that someone should do something like this, but that's why tony is tony because he's ahead of the game.
My only concern is that the mids are exposed. Will there be any kind of grills to protect the cone/surround?

You rock Steve! This is bad ass man! I can't give you enough credit for this one. This give everyone a shot at a bad ass system at no cost. This is the reason I only mess with this forum. Props to this community!
