  1. TTMFT.....just me and Bump going??? Here's the flyer..... http://www.autoshows.cc/assets/pdfs/sandjflier2009.pdf
  2. length (inches): 45.2, front width (inches): 54.5 and width between opening (inches): 50.9
  3. but I like the idea of running a mass quantity of batts! lol ok, you sold me. Now, BOX DESIGN!
  4. I'll split the difference with you and go for 32. I'm wanting it to burp a bit. :hairtrick:
  5. to be honest? cause they're cheap. lol I may upgrade the closer I get to build time I guess. It all just depends on what's left in my budget/if I can find some of these things used for cheaper. I'm trying to build the whole thing for under $6500
  6. I have an 04 Expedition. I'm willing to lost my 3rd row, but not willing to lose my second row seat (not yet anyways). I want to build it groundpounder style tuned to 30 hertz. Wanting to wall it off. This is what's going in.... 2 18" Fi BTLs fully loaded D2s 2 DAT HF 2500.1s 2 DAT HR4125s 7 Kinetik HC 600s ^^^^that's all that needs to be configured in the box design. I have plans for fiberglassing door panel pods and a Mechman alt. as well as upgrading big 3 and running 12G speaker wire to the subs. Any of you designers got any ideas?
  7. just curious, what's the purpose of this rule anyway? I'm not saying I won't abide by it, just wondering.
  8. this is an xB from MiniTruckin last year. This is the only pic I could find of the enclosure....
  9. thanks man, we appreciate it. Some of us should be at Slammin & Jammin, Heritage, and we're putting on a weekend show this year, which we'll all be at.
  10. it's May 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of this year. The official website is www.autoshows.cc. It's customary to camp out. There's Sound Q and SPL comps. So whose coming? Post up! You'll get a free front row seat to watching me be drunk and acting like a jackass....
  11. that things been through 7 paint jobs and about $200K of builds and rebuilds and what not....it was built to be a Low-Euro, which means pretty much building anything out of the ordinary. For example, this got a perfect score (300/300) at the Supershow, it's called Casanova III. It's a Nissan 300ZX. ....besides, he only takes it out maybe twice a year. He rolls a 98 Cobra daily : ....and it's got nothing but performance mods. It made me cream my pants everytime he gets into it..
  12. yeah. He's got a hell of an interior to match the exterior too. He's got a website....www.blastroracing.com. This is his interior:
  13. I don't know how long you may have been working there, but Autosound is on the list of shops that didn't touch the Satin Black Jeep. But at least you all were honest and said straight up when you all saw it that you couldn't fuck with it. Lucky let it sit around and the custom one-off metal dash was cracked "mysteriously", JP let it sit for two months and didn't touch it, same with Pat Burke in Georgetown, and Geoff at GB Customs did the worst, and they're actually involved in a lawsuit over it right now. Most all of the plaqued members don't ride out due to that they're coming from Mt. Sterling or Clay City and can't drive down the interstate. We had a show at that Kmart two years ago and the BMW put it up on 3 on Nich Rd. a few times that night. It's hard to keep up long with all the manholes though.
  14. My name is Fish. I'm from Lexington, KY. I'm a member of Dropmob Car Club, but currently do not have a project, due to I traded my xB away to lower my payments/insurance, and am unemployed at the moment. I traded for something I have intentions to be a tow pig, but it's going to take me 2 to 3 years to build whatever I get, so I'm going to put a groundpounder setup in my Expedition as well as a set of 26s, so I can at least go to some comps this year and hang out with the rest of the club (as well as not get kicked out for lack of ride). Look for a build thread for me as soon as I get a job. Here's the stock vehicle: And here's the tentative build plans: 2 15" FI BTLs (possibly 4 depending on what job I get) 2 DAT HF2500.1s 2 DAT HR4125s 4 sets of Infinity Kappa 60.9cs's (1 in rear door panel, 3 in front door panel on both sides) 3 runs of 1/0, 1 to each 2500, 1 split into 4s going to the 4 channels big 3 Mechman HO alternator 7 Kinetik HC 600s
  15. you could get a piece of sheetmetal and do it yourself. That's what everyone I know has done. Most people know someone that works in a factory and can five-finger-discount you some sheetmetal.
  16. right on. Thanks for the help man! It'll be in a Expedition, so I'm sure it'll take a lot to get to 150....oh well.
  17. is there a general math formula to plug in to find each full decibal? I know it gets down to trying to gain by the tenth when the numbers are that high, but I'm just curious if this guy is right or not.
  18. I was told this years ago, and since there's not that much beating a 150 around here, I haven't been able to figure it out on my own. So the n00b question is.... I was told that once you hit 150 db, it takes at least 1000 watts of power to go up one decibal from there, is this true?
  19. The Probe getting shot for Lowrider Mag....
  20. here's some vids of Blastro at the track, from the Cincinatti chapter....
