hey buddy, i have the same delima as yourself...i got a 97 silverado ext cab, and need to keep the rear seat due to kids... my friend built me a box, downward firing sealed enclosure for two Sundown E8's, they are getting about 250-300 watts rms, and they bang...they get low as well. with that being said, after a year of having this, i'm wanting MORE power... I'm trying to get a box, same design, but fit the new Sundown SA8's...the woofer depth is the problem i'm running into...if i can get that figured out, i got a Kicker ZX1500 that will feed these subs all the power i'll need!!! so, if you can get this box figured out, let me know!

weeeelll, got the box built and installed this weekend...okay, so no ZX1500.1 running these 8's! the 8's are replacing a kicker cvr 12" which was run by a PG R8.0:1...i left that amp in to test out the 8's, and after heaing them on 300watts, there's no need for anymore power! i believe the 1500 would have shredded them. anyhow, i'm willing to admit that i was wrong, but man, these fuckers hit like a jackhammer! they get real deep as well, which i was skeptical after never owning 8's.... i guess i could get a vid if anyone's interested, but at theh least i just wanted to update the thread...

The only difference between what jake's doing is, he's TRYING to kill the woofer...i'm simply wanting to hear some clean music. you may be right, but then again....you may be wrong. i'll be sure to post the vid as soon as i crank em up!

so, they're taking 600 a piece?? look, i realize my amp will be overpowering these subs....but i paid $100 for the pair, and i wanna see what they'll do! but, back on topic...any box builders out there have some helpful advice on the box??

man, I'm not picking up what you're putting down! that vid shows two E8's run by an Orion 2500 watt amp at 2ohm...so, if i understand correctly, you are saying those subs in the vid "may not even be getting 1k"??

okay, they were built by a guy over at caraudio.com...woofercooker. we will also begin adjusting the gain at zero and go from there...and, as far as putting more than 300 watts to them, check this out...
