I have a cochlear implant, which is a different story than hearing aids. People with hearing aids have some hearing loss, so sounds are amplified. I have profound hearing loss. My cochlear implant enables me to have hearing. This is how it works:
1. Sound is picked up by a small microphone that cradles the ear.
2. A thin cord carries the sound to a miniature computer that filters, analyzes and digitizes the sound into coded signals.
3. The signals are sent to the transmitter coil, which rests on top of the skin and is held in place by magnets (one inside transmitter coil and another inside implant).
4. The device transmits signals to the cochlear implant under the skin that delivers electrical impulses to the array coiled around the cochlea.
5. Electrodes along the array stimulate the auditory nerve fibers in the cochlea.
6. The resulting electrical sound information is carried along the auditory nerve to the brain for interpretation.
I must say that I do prefer rap music myself, because the beat gets me in a good mood, but I also do like to hear a good song like Hotel California. As for the words, I have to memorize them before knowing what is completely said, but once I have it memorized, I can sing along with it. I can pick up words here and there when listening to the radio, but a lot of times I just get confused by words that sound alike.
How does bass sound with them in?
My mom's getting cochlear implants soon

Your head unit doesn't have a power button? Mine does, and also I can disable the sub with mine.
Alpine ftw.

I have a kenwood head unit kdcx-889 its a great head unit but when my subwoofers hit it flexes my front and causes my cd player to skip constantly while playing cd's?? Is it possible to secure the head unit better or really unsure what to do. Bought an FM transmitter because head unit doesn't have aux inputs, but hate the fuzziness of it. PLEASE HELP.

Order up a charger for my video camera.. This is the wrong one and I don't feel like going through the hassle of returning it. SKU number comes out to be a worldwide charger for an Apple iPhone 3G.

did you already fix the problem? ive noticed that with alpine HUs you sometimes need to run a direct power line to the constant 12v i usually use 8g, at least this was the case for my cda9813/9815/7897/ even the newer cda105, they all did this in my camaro and corolla every now and then but in both my friends with civcs it was a constant problem, i never had this problem with any other manufacture
That's weird as hell, lol.
My 105 works just fine off the Ford harness in dash.
-
Where is your ground at? Seat bolt? Body? Frame?
-
Also, what are your amp grounds like? Any loose wires in the deck harness?
Fucking weird issue, lol.
-
Try adjusting the gain, this time with the LPF knob in between 75-100. Leave the bass EQ at 0dB.
-
Did your Explorer come with a JBL/Bose premium system from the factory? Are you properly bypassing that amp, if so.
Max gain, you shouldn't be needing to crank the gain to get 600w from that amp... Could you maybe take a picture of the settings on your amp? Hell, I'm running "600" watts on my Explorer, voltage needle hardly drops soo..
The stock 2ohms, maybe. My stock plain jane Motorcraft door speakers ran fine on my Alpine, no shutting off or nothing.
Only thing I can think of is you're not properly bypassing the factory amp. Or not using the proper wiring harness.
-
if you know what your doing you wont blow it. annoys the crap out of me when people think they have to match the rms of the woofer to the rms of the amp for it to be good and not blow.
It also annoys the crap out of me when people think the gain knob is a volume knob...

They should... I told the auto parts store what vehicle and motor everything...

alright i just got a new RF 15" p1 subwoofer and i need an amp for it i want a good quality one but cant decide between a 4000watt pyle which i am sure it not true 4000watts probably about half that for $109 http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-NEW-2-CH-4000-WATT-CAR-AUDIO-AMP-AMPLIFIER-AMPS-/390186190362?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item5ad8e8c61a
or a 900watt kenwood amp which also is not true 900watt but instead around 740watts for $150 http://outlet.crutchfield.com/p_613KAC9104/Kenwood-KAC-9104D.html?tp=13643&tab=review&rvm=ShowAllt either one would be fine as the sub is only a 400watt i know the kenwood is better quality but i've used pyle before and it was decent and i probably will get another sub so i cant decide if someone could help i'd apreciate it

take a nail file to the gap area then blow the sand/residue off after you've made it shine.
you did replace one at a time didn't you? trying to replace all at once is a good way to switch a wire around.
Cool, thanks.
Yes one at a time, checked the firing order a bajillion times to just to double check.
-
With new ones gapped correctly I believe, ran shittier (misfiring idle) than when I had these Motorcraft plugs in. Plugs I put in were NGK V-Power's.
How would I clean these off to test and rule out my spark plugs causing my issue? Ran fine with Motorcraft plugs, lol.

Main thing was, 3 are more "burnt" looking than the other 3... In a V6 motor..
-
Thanks for looking

Looks good.
Could you take a pic of the dash kit mounted, pic from behind though, I could not figure out how it's installed in my Explorer...
-
depends on power imo, 11.7 cubes for 2 18s hope not off the 1krms they are rated at each
2k per.
