Just wanted to post some feedback,
Attempting to sell him an Eclipse deck, gave him my PP addy and everything, still no payment. Even after he had said he came up with money etc etc...
Won't be dealing with you anymore.
-
Absolutely!
Just don't use a full locker for the street.
Reasoning? Despite increased tire wear, I had ZERO issues driving like that in my old car.
-
The box he has,has too much port on low tuning. Any frequency below his tuning point would unload. Especially in a room with no loading walls.
Well no shit sherlock. Thanks for pointing out the obvious.
-
What's your box tuned to?

Is all that stuff installed ? i would get a new headunit for an ipod. IMO the ipod has the best quality over cd's and the radio. Also are your speakers and tweeters amplified ?
I'd love to see how a ipod playing a file at 320kbps being higher quality than a CD which is well over a thousand kbps, just saying.
No skipping ! However, with said setup skipping may be a non-issue.
It all depends on the quality of the deck and how solid it's mounted.
My Alpine CDA-105 never skipped (in setups with over a thousand watts). Pioneer deck, omfg hit a bump and it skipped.

No, I have not. I may stay away from Neo sub-woofers entirely for a while.
I like this, i don't really like neos. They de-magnetize over time, so i would never buy one.
"Sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets will remain magnetized indefinitely. They experience a miniscule reduction in flux density over time. As long as their physical properties remain intact, neodymium magnets will likely loose less than1% of their flux density over 100 years. Generally the magnet will experience a degradation in its physical properties, such as corrosion, prior to it demagnetizing because of age. However, heat and high magnetic fields can demagnetize these magnets."
"if you heat them beyond 170 degrees Fahrenheit (80 degrees Celsius) the magnets will begin to loose their magnetic properties. Sustaining these temperatures for a length of time or heating the magnet significantly higher than this will permanently demagnetize it. Other types of magnets such as Samarium-Cobalt have higher heat resistance. There are also other types of Nd-Fe-B magnets that are not as susceptible to heat induced flux degradation."

That part is not an ignitor. I can't even find out if your car has one.
The part you took a pic of above is for the airbag system.

picked up a 78 rabbit on saturday and have been fiddilng with the fuel injection on it with no luck. so now im debating going carb'd anybody have experience with this and can recommend a carb size and about what this will cost
whats wrong with the fuel injection?
-
Mine went out on my old 240sx, replaced coil, no go, did some diag's and damn icm had failed.
-
ignition control module (aka ignitor) good?
You sure the cam(s) are timed properly with crank, along with the crankshaft and camshaft sensor installed properly?
Does it backfire when you try to start it?
-
Bro your engines done.

check your oil... Might have ran it dry

I've got an Eclipse CD5000 w/ iPC-106 ipod interface for 175 shipped

If you only have $300 to spend, keep saving, you wont get anything worth a damn for that price. Save up enough for an alt, put that in, then save up $500 for a crescendo 3500 (i dont remember what they cost off hand).
why crescendo?
Because they're built well, priced well, and it uses the same board as the sundown 3500. If i was going to buy an amp, i'd buy one thats not going to blow its mosfets in a year (the audiopipe 3000 comes to mind, and its not even actually 1 ohm stable either)
It is...
You can only wire it to 2ohms due to it being 2 AP1500's strapped in one case. Run at 2ohms, call it a good damn day.
-
Do not turbo it unless you can on a hell of a good tune. A open deck motor like that bored over .50 will blow up easily with a shitty tune. Just saying.

Go to a dentist and get it taken care of.
I had one of my teeth break, get infected, (cap broke off of it), doctor drilled hole through it (no novacaine, nerves were dead from infection), sucked the junk out of there, closed it up (root canal therapy), cut open my lip and omfg that felt great.
-
No updates, pretty much decided what I'm gonna do though...
AQ hdc3 12 off an ap1500 (old style preferrably), active front stage with dayton mids and vifa tweets, kicker dx1252 for tweets and kicker zx200.2 for mids

i feel dumb. at first glance i thought those were real pics lol
You'd have to be fully retarded or stuck in video games to think the above pics were real life
-
Looks good.
Have some fun with it too, I remember the first time I got a front strut bar put on my car it tightened up the frontend sooo much, had so little understeer too.
-
Most cars will do this.
My explorer did it too with a brand new alt and battery.

Well I can hit a 143 with two subs so 4 I shoud b hitn a 146 or 147 so 3 db ain't that far off plus I have them in two different boxes
