i put it at roughly 2 volts and its louder and it didnt stop when i put it at 44. but before at 3 volts at 40 it stopped. why is that?

there is a green light on saying its on i believe. but i mean the sub literally just turned off. completley stopped working. the speakers still worked just fine, just the subs stopped. the amp goes from .2 volts to 5 volts. do you still recomend 2 volts?

not ganna lie. i dont know how to set it up. i bought this from a dealer that included free instalation. he did everything. i mean it sounds great but once i went to that high of volume it just stopped pounding. could that be a serious problem or just a wiring problem? i have 2 subs. i cant play cds in it though it rattled it to hard so im listening to my ipod he said i need a new deck if i want to play cds but idc ill listen to my ipod.

right now i have everything halfway/middle. bass eq and the level are what change the sound. where should i put them? volts .5 is the loudest 12 is the quietest. i read the sticky but no help. my stereo goes to 46 i had the bass at -1 and put it on 40 for 4 seconds and the subs stop working. i turned the car off and back on 2 mins later after looking and then it woked what was the deal? its happend 2wice.

he didnt say they would put that out he said it as in they cant take that much. there overrated.

so what would you choose? a rated 500 watt rms lanzar or a rated 350 watt rms autotek sub both in a ported box powered by the amp in previous post?

alright but if the rated rms is 500 on the lanzars and the autoteks are 350rms the lanzars will be either louder or somthing correct?

upgrading from 2 12" autotek street machine subs. to idk which lanzars.

the only reason i ask is because the place im getting my system and it hooked up by was running late so the guy called and said because of the inconvenience to you we are going to upgrade your subs to lanzar subs. the guy does not lie and does no what he is talking about. he was really honest with me when i was there. he told me the subs say 350 rms but will only really put out about 250watts rms. he explained alot. he also said if i only get 1 pair of speakers one side will sound better but then he said my stocks sound good as is so hes not going to bother with that.

why are lanzar subs stongly disliked here?

ya ok thanx. ya i have a friend who had work done. not audio related but he liked the work so no complaints. yes i no its not the nicest system but its my first and it will sound better then my stock one. plus the front right speaker is blown. there is a lifetime warranty on it but i dont see how that can be because i dont think they cover it if it blows but idk. im getting it done tuesday. when i have my coart date. i might lose my licence because im under 18 and got a speeding ticket. the only thing that will save me is if he lowers it to a none point related ticket.

well i went to the citys audio, rim dealer and they had a sale. it included a Clarion DB185MP, 2 12" street machine subs in a ported box 350 watts rms each sub, Autotek SM4-1000 Street Machine amp, 2 front door speakers not sure which ones, 4 guage wiring. $500 installed. there going to hide the amp in a littlenstorage unit in my durango. hes giving it to me for 500 total because i said i was paying cash. how does this sound? good deal or what. im pretty happy i spotted this
