  1. Everything in minus the small piece that goes on the outside of the port.. More as it happens..
  2. Alright, last night I didnt get out to work on this but got a nice chunk done today. Got the kerf done.. Inside layer going on and holes cut.. Mock-up.. 45's cut.. Mounted.. 45's on the left in (I made a slight change to the design for the front 45 but wont effect anything) Other side's 45's in...
  3. Alright, this enclosure will be for Bobby32's DD9512G. Specs come to: -3 cubes net -35hz tuning -43.125 sq inches of port A look at the design.. Getting started.. More as it happens..
  4. Thanks guys. And yea, it's in a storage unit that has minimal power but the owner is allowing me to upgrade the electrical in there and eventually a couple more 20 amp circuits will be in there and possibly a 40 amp circuit to have all the juice I need I just got 4 shop lights that will be more than enough to light the place up and all I really need is an air cleaner/circulator and the dust collector tubing setup to turn on with the table saw etc. to collect the dust...once winter rolls around it wont be too pleasant sealed up in there without that. Hopefully this will be up and running at some point this week
  5. Thanks guys. I forgot to mention im going to be using 8 of the 10 speakers I picked up, just for wiring purposes (a pair in each corner of the shop) And I will be bridging the 4-channels to just basically have a right and a left in the shop...just the same 2 channels of rca's through all of the amps atleast until I find my 7700..im using that really old model right now and only has a pair of pre-outs
  6. Got some pieces of 1/0 cut down to connect the batts.. Finally found a use for the pair of these 4-gauge distro's I had.. And finally the sub amp hooked up..sadly, no other color for the negative Chargin 'er up...conveniently just have to pull the boots away from the ring terminals and there's plenty of space to clamp onto.. And got some speaker wire for the 4's.. Hopefully will get to wiring those up within the next couple days and get things playing..
  7. Here are a few finishing the enclosure.. The enclosure done.. Amp rack.. Each level is pretty much strong enough to sit on^ And the top layout..
  8. The batteries came in... Seem to be pretty solid little batteries and were sitting at 12.6V when they arrived...later I'll be back with (hopefully) finished pics of the sub enclosure and the tower for everything to be at.
  9. Here's a view at the enclosure for the 15" TC9 Specs come to: -4.2 cubes net -30hz tuning -85 sq inches of port
  10. More done on the enclosures for the speakers..(And I thought I got a decent pic of the charger in it's new home ...I guess not, I'll get one next time) Comin along.. Definitely not perfection...But I'll be sanding to clean them up a bit and a back panel put on each.
  11. Alright, I got the grill-cloth enclosure for the charger pretty much done today. It looks like im going to ditch the hinge idea on the front panel and just have a flap of grill cloth over it and thumb-tack it to the mdf frame. The side will also be like this for when I need to take it out, I will most likely be taking this to big competitions to top-off before runs and let others do the same. Titebond Instant-Bond made things a breeze putting this together...seconds to dry and is almost as strong as a clamped glue joint, no joke. Added a middle support to the back so the wires can go out one side with a flap of grill cloth over them and the other side can just have permanent grill cloth over it. Got the grill cloth.. Painted that bish.. Side and back are free to move for the wires and to get it out...I'll be getting tacks to hold the flaps down..
  12. Alright, ive been working in my shop for too long without some tunes in there. So in chicago at the maxxsonics comp they had insano pricing on all kinda of equipment, so I picked up 10 4"ers for 20 bucks for the shop And they seem pretty nice too, not too shabby. 2 will be going in each corner of the shop and one on each of the larger walls between the pairs. I also picked up a pair of cheap 4-channels a while back, so I'll be powering these with a pair of Pioneer GM-6300F's. Im just going to bridge the amps to simplify things and not worry about a front/back. Here they are with my comps from a while back.. This will also include my 15" TC9 aswell in a fairly large ported enclosure, tuned low, with a healthy amount of port area to make the most of the limited power (still deciding on an amp but it wont be tons of power, it'll have to be pretty cheap). Im thinking around 4.75 cubes, tuned to 31hz, with around 80ish sq inches of port. The enclosure will most likely have grill cloth over the port to keep all the saw dust from drifting inside. And the backbone to keep everything alive and happy, I just picked up this powermaster charger from dennis at Mechman and it is nice I will be making a frame for this to sit in that will have grill cloth around the whole thing so it can breath but still be protected from the dust, then it will have the front/face of it on a hinge to swing up when I need to turn it on/off, adjust, etc. Here she is.. I think for battery I may be snagging the biggest decent battery they have at autozone or something, probably duralast or something. Or possibly starting off with one medium sized one and then down the road getting another to run in parallel to really keep things running. For the headunit, I will be using my old Pioneer 7700. I will most likely be making a small station/tower for the charger, battery/batteries, amps, headunit, etc. to all be in and where appropriate I'll have grill cloth panels on hinges so I can get to the components and they'll still be protected from the saw dust. ------ Anyways, onto the actually building of stuff.. Getting the enclosures made for the 4"ers. These will be sealed enclosures to protect from the dust and the fronts will be covered in grill cloth.
  13. Alright, this enclosure will be 3 cubes net, 50.375 sq inches of port, and tuned to 30hz for a pair of 10's out of randy's (assman's) van for a buddy of mine. Most of the pieces cut.. Inner port made up.. Getting the holes cut, more when it's finished and install pics.. Finished and install pics when they happen
  14. What are the specs on that last design?
  15. Thanks guys And the carpeting is like 6 bucks a yard or so (54" wide I believe) plus like $9.80 for spray adhesive...so not too much
  16. Thanks and yea, I almost always do countersink...but he just wanted the carpeting like that and wanted it quickly and cheaply so I just made the enclosure really simple.
  17. My internet's been so crappy the last day and a half I couldnt get on to upload this build...but here it is. The specs are less than optimal due to space constraints though. Specs come to: -3.16 cubes -34.5hz tuning -46.5 sq inches of port area Onward:
