what kind of subs are you using? i will design you an enclosure

i dont remember the name but theres a guy on here is 32 sundown E8 subs, in his "quote" thing it has "Subwoofer Box Calculator", click it, it takes you to a site, and download it. aslong as you have an idea of what your box is going to be you can get Sq.Ft. and your tuning frequency, also, you could just google "subwoofer box calculator" and see what comes up...most of those use ALOT of measurements and arent very user friendly towards noobs (like me) but if you get a good one, you will know.

are you dead set on that box, my opinion is it sounds retarded. type S 10"s right? if you give me measurements i could prolly design a better box....and unless ur playing at LOW volumes i would go with ported....
but, thats just what i think. dont mind me.

but yea, i dont know if you would agree with be but 20 years ago people wouldnt have cared how loud your stereo was, aslong as they liked what you were playing.

they took our fabrics away those a$$holes. i used them alot. if you can find it, they have a VERY stretchy, thin, black material that was (i think) 3.39 a yard. looks like felt....i make a 5/1 profit when i use it on customer boxes

theres no way i can pop the back window open is there?? i figured all the back window + door keys were somewhat the same... he has a c1500 pickup of the same year... door keys wouldnt work prolly...
they dont take care of shit and it pisses me off cus IM the one who does the work while grandpa "supervises" >.>
i already know they jumped a curb, and messed up a few front end steering components, and i dont even wanna know how they ripped half the exaust off...its just GONe about 15 inches from the cat.
but yea... i know ma grandma has free roadside service, so i think she could get it opened for free...

well, heres the shortened story. basicaly, my grandfather let my cousins and uncle, aka his son and grandchildren, use his suburban. was supposed to be a week...ok then, turned into a month, no biggie.
well...
that was 8 months ago. my cousin locked it and put the keys GOD knows where. we want the suburban back (grandpa is lettin me throw a 18" in it, hes been bitten by the bug) so i was wondering what you guys though. try and take a chance at the roadside service unlocking it and trying to get it for free, or should i learn to pick locks... or whatever.
also, do you guys know of anywhere, where i can get 4-door set of new locks with matching keys?? thanks.

i think you misunderstood but im not sure, i said the deminsions wrong. :/ the face, is 17x25, and its 17 inches deep. thats internal.

you know how big to make the box, aswell as how big the port needs to be. do you want someone to build you one or something?? seems kinda silly to me...and im a total noob, so that dosent say much for you.
do you not know how to/have access to tools and MDF?

box is 4 cubes and sub is a 15" JBL GTI MKII(i believe .839 cubes but im not sure about the displacement). i havent been able to find one, is there thread that would help me figure out to calculate ports? i feel kinda bad knowing virtualy everything else, and probly one of the easiest things i dont understand. lol.

i have 2 questions. the first question is, if i have a port 15.13 inches deep and 6 inches wide, how long does it have to be for it to be tuned to 28 hz? (slot style)
second, when im finding the internal displacement of a subwoofer box do i just go around the port, or include it, or what?
any help is appreciated...thanks!

it looks cheaper IMO. it didnt have a sunken logo/trademark before, i think that set it apart from alot of other subs... now its falling into the crowd
i think they should paint it red and match it to the basket...would look pretty badass like that, in my opinion. not enough red subs these says....THAT ARENT LEGACY
