    i could post pics of my doors... my spacers are just MDF rings with gorilla tape on them LOL. shits clean tho. i like it.

    just make some spacer rings man, you wont be losing much, if any midbass unless you have massive air leaks, i say put a layer or two of gasketing tape between the door panel and door if its that big of a deal to you, where you really lose midbass is your window seals tho, make sure those are in check.

    Make a folder with everything you want on itunes, then import the folder, but if all the folders are together, just click add folder, click the first one, hold shift, click the last one, and it should select all of them, if that doesent work, make a folder for the songs, select all the folders, right click, click extract to, select that folder, wait about an hour for the transfer, then just drag and drop that folder into itunes.

    if you just want to start clean, delete itunes, and import all your music again.

    Hey, if you have money to throw around, you could do what i did, replace your side windows with plexiglass, and take out the manual locking on your vehicle, put door locking actuators right on the lock, so unless the thief has your remote, they cant unlock the door, or break the window. its saved my shit once already, almost got a 18" BTL stolen out of my van, but the plexiglass windows saved it, good thing too, because it was a friends sub. :yahoo:

    i would design you a box, but DC dosent put the VAS of the XL's on there site ~facepalm~

    I dont know if u understand some subwoofers. Alot of The stats or numbers that compamies put on the subs arent accurate, just for looks, especially the lower end subwoofers. But dc subs are sick im sure you know but they can handle serious power

    ...what are you going on about man? i was just looking for the vas of the driver..... :ehh:

    who mentioned anything lower end? i mean i know xplods cant handle 1600 watts, but how is that relevant to this topic?

    the specs i was refering to are things such as the actual value of the coils, in Le, the Re of the coil, the qts, qes, qms, vas, and sd of the driver.........

    oh and man, just, my opinion, but you should take that alpine decal off the car, if a thief is looking to jack someones setup, they'll head straight for your car, because they know you have at least one thing in there thats alpine, it takes all the guess work out of it.

    I like Memphis but those two 12's are only 500RMS while the 15" L5 is 750 (perfect for the amplifier) not to mention i've seen 12" L5's take 1000RMS daily. I've also owned a Grand Prix 97 and they have huge trunks you need to build a new box. I would keep the 15" and build a box subwoofer and port to the rear. (I ran two 15's in my grand prix you can do 1 15" easy) I'd suggest running RMS off the amplifier (probably around 1000) to the subwoofer (if your electrical can handle it, which stock electrical can probably do 1000rms)

    Build a box 35hz @ 3.5cft net ported and fire them both to the rear should be a lot louder.

    Hold the hell on now, did you see a DMM on the amp showing the power coming out of the amp? because im pretty sure there is NOOOOOO way the chinese coils can handle 1krms DAILY.

    My buddy just asked me to trade his Memphis PR 12's (SVC 4ohm), in a newly built ported box, for my 15" L5 (DVC 2ohm) in a cheap ebay box.

    Just wondering if this is close to an even trade money/audio wise. I have a '97 Grand Prix, and even in the cheap box i have, the l5 still wont fit under my 6x9 w/o pushing them up. I have it close to the trunk now, which sounds better, but i don't have much trunk room.

    Also, my amp is Kicker zx750.1, can the Memphis PR's handle it as the L5 does?

    oh, also its a good trade, square subs are terrible in all honesty >.>

    and man, that amp should be perfect as long as the box that the Memphis's are in has enough port area. I did a PR 15 in a scion XB and it sounded pretty nice, you'll be happy with the 12"s if you trade.

    I thought i was loud till I went to Autorama in Sacramento, lol. first show ive been too. Im loud for 1 sub, but these guys dont play around. If your not competing then its all about if your happy with it. there is always someone louder and my definition of loud may not be the same as yours. If your happy with it then you did it right.

    well like i said, i dont think im loud, but i know for damn sure im the loudest in my city, all tho i live in the capitol city of my state, people around here have the shittiest systems i have ever seen. the best thing i have seen local is a guy with 4 rockford power 12"s sealed (box was made of 1" plexiglass) , which sounded nice, extremely smooth, and only on 1krms, off of 1000bd, but besides that, nobody local can touch me, which is actually kinda sad, because theres isnt really one to hang out with, do builds with, so on. hell, even the people from the local car audio shops are running fucking lanzars, all of them are, its just sad.....

    thats the funny thing, when i had some shitty MA audio 15"s i thought i was the loudest shit around, but now, i dont think im loud, and everyone tells me how its the loudest thing they've ever heard (the vids really dont do justice), idk man, i guess ive grown a little wiser since i started using decent products, and doing decent enclosure designs.

    i need to find someone with a TL :peepwall: , like i said, i honestly dont think im loud, but im told i am, so im curious as to what im putting down.

    2 12" Fi X's, 5.9ft^3@24hz, dosent only just play lows tho, sounds great across the whole range.

    of course camera sucks, as always, i need to find something with a higher frame rate. this was originally shot in 1080P but, that didnt help.

    BOTH doors are wide open, with the windows down

    EDIT: i need to put 90" elbows in the back as well, every time there is a bass hit under about 32 hz the box moves forwards about 1/2". i am losing alot of sound pressure right now.

    You must not realize what it takes to break a window bro...Anywho look into Sundown DC and FI subs

    its a figure of speech in other words something that wont damage my ear drums that bad either

    LOL buddy, my B-pillars flex, and i have no hearing damage, its not that easy to damage your heading with subs, unless you're bashing yourself in the side of the head with an xplod.

    We did a t.1000 on a audioque 1200 in a buddys ranger, 10 cubes at 16 hz, played clean down to 10 hz, has very little imp rise, one thing you guys dont understand, is you dont need fourty billion eighteens and 20 million watts to get loud, you just need a decent design.

    and op, if you have a "sony 2 channel 1000 watt amp" i would actually go with a sundown SA-15, in 5 cubic feet, tuned to 30 hz. you wont be disappointing.

    What model Type-Rs are they.

    and btw, why is everyone so obsessed with tuning in the mid 30's? im tuned low 20's, i can play everything i want, it all sounds good, and its loud as fuck, because i actually know how to design a decent enclosure.

    OP, what model type r's are they, i will give you a free design, that will sound alot better than what you did, no offence.
