Does anybody in the kc mo area have a dd1 that they would be willing to tune my system for me.
I found the list that had everybody who had one on it but the two people in my area i cant find footlongsam and qbert ( he has not been on the site in over a year ) and i think footlongsam may have changed his screen name

its a pure amp there is another amp from them laying in the upper left corner or its the plate to that amp

My dad has one of those intakes with 2 1050 cfm carbs on it. From the 60's- never used. For some reason, he wouldn't let me have it. lolz
Someone going for 2 Lane Blacktop? Very nice.

i went with dc's recomend box specs as im overpowering them by about 150 according to the sites rms rating thats why it on the small sideIsn't you net volume a bit small for bottom end on 2 12s?
2.43 on the original post
it is set to about 25-30hz hard to tell on my amp what it is set atthe box size is about right on, but what do you have your subsonicfilter set to?
ya it hit the lows good the vids of it are on my youtube page the link is in my sig so im not for surePort are per foot of 5?! and it slammed the lows? I don't know man, I have heard that come from people on here who do amazing work with stuff and I put a lot of confidience in their knowledge. 10-12 for aero ports, and 12-16 for slot port, and if you want better low end, build slightly bigger than recommended volume to.
-
its close to 10 its at 9.55 but with my old subs the port per foot was only like 5 same style box just bigger cubes and it hit the lows great so i'm leaning towards that there still brand new
-
that box specs look prety good but you have lvl 3 and mine are lvl 2I just built this for my lvl 3 12s and it hits harder then ever
-
ok i must of over looked that box it brought it down to 32hz which is fine i like the lows but it don't hit them lows with authority could it be there still brand new and don't have even 30 min's playtime on them so there not broken in yet
-
OK so i designed my box to be tuned at 33hz with 2 4in aero's at 20in long and it plays the higher notes with authority but not the low notes what im thinking is my tuning is off as the ports come out of the box 12in and the other 8in is in the box would that effect it any or would it still have the same tuning the subs im running are 2 dc lvl 2 12's they are brand new just got them yesterday and i went with dc's recommend box size from there site here are the box specs any help is appreciated
-
ok so how about 3.13 net cubes it will give the subs a little over 1.5 each
-
to seal it i'm going to caulk around it when i figure what cubes i want for the subs and to attach it i thought about using screws and if i have to move it again i will put resin over the holes where the screws where
-
well the ports are going to be 2 4in aero's as that's what my box already has i just need to figure out what cubes to go with as i made my box to where i can slide the baffle in and out of the box so i can change the amount of cubes the sub's are seeing4 cubes total with a 6" aero...
This is 3.5 cubes with 1500 watts.
-
the ports are actually going to be 20in long for a tuning of 33hz but only 8in of the port is going to be in the box i did it like that so i could see how much cubes the subs where going to actually see here is the sketch up of it so about how many cubes do you recommend they will be ran off a 1500rms mono block amp set with a dd-1
-
bump for more help
-
ok how does this look for them i took the cubes down to 2.63 so there getting about 1.31 each but the port is not going to be 8in long there going to be 20 but will come out of the box but 8in will be in the box
-
i might ask him if i can see it and hear it and fuck with him hes only a hour away from me
-
OK so i bought 2 Dc lvl 2 12's and i want to know if the box for my old subs would be ok or if i should build a different one the one i have now is 5.38cuft with the sub displacement accounted for in torres box calc and the site says 1.25 each ported but i think i will probably be under powering since Dc subs are under rated and the amp i have is a vibe black box bass 5 rated at 1500rms at 2ohm and it is a mono block so any help would be appreciated thank you
