  1. True but i seen the XXX take 2000 watts, the 8 layer coil might make it alittle tuffer. Plus when i asked about about it takeing 2k watts all I got was why would i want to do that. and just run a BL
  2. Im going to be running close to 2300 watts ea so that cuts the junk out. Im still thinking about the XL's if it cost me to mush to run the old XXX's then i mine just have to get those, Cool I'll send you a PM, damn and i was in Fresno around new years , could have saved my self some shipping.

  4. Well I finally got a second T40001bd for my build and need to upgrade my subs. I want to get as close to a good sounding sub as i can what will handle 2000+ watts. So in a nut shell do you guys think these two are close in SQ or does it sound more like a SX. I seen they're both 8 layer 3" coils but trying to tell how good a sub sounds by whats on paper is tuff so I'm just trying to compare with subs I know. thanks in advance for any info,

  6. More details on what makes the 6.7 an unreliable engine? My expericance with it has been that the engine is pretty bullet proof, the emissions junk they stuck on this thing is another story, good thing you can bolt it on and off pretty eazly with a kit and tuner. One thing i know first hand is stock for stock the 5.9 isnt as strong and is missing the low end the 6.7 has, the VG turbo in it gives it a nice kick when you take off. Another plus with the 6.7 is if ever you want to sell it out of state it can go anywhere, the 5.9 cant. When i was first looking into the Cummins i was in california and there was alot of 5.9's i couldnt bring in, a little upside to all the emissions crap they put on these.
  7. Ive seen the 6.7 get up to 950hp with whats out there right now so if you need more then that your really going to build up somthing crazy.
  8. Mine was lifted from the dealer only a 4" so its all till covered, so i guees its all up to the dealer you buy it from 12000lbs i would get the 4.10's
  9. its got great power, when ever i tow i dont even feel Ive got anything back there.So far the most Ive towed with it was 8,000 lbs .The mileage kinda sucks at around 14, 15 miles to the gallon but thats due to the PDF filter the newer trucks are running and this is the Mega Cab. Getting the PDF delete Ive heard it would get you into the 16,18 miles to the gallon. The new trans works great its an automatic six speed witch you can even run in manual mode.
  10. Whats the best way to brace the roof on a dodge ram without it getting in the way of the head liner? Im wondering because my roof is flexxing to much.. I was going to just but two layers of dampner but I'm not sure its going to be enough.
  11. When your looking for a nice sounding sub is there anything you can look at in the spec's to see if its going to sound good? or is hearing it the only way to know?
  12. i looked up this sub but 1250 rms Im pretty sure I'll cook these coils, this amp is rated at 4000 watts each but the birth sheets got them up to close to 5000 Watts each. I dont know how long that sub is going to take almost 2500 watts.

Yea i see what you mean well around the 500 per sub mark i think is fair, Im running 4 15" so it gets costly quick I read up about the level4lx but Im just worried about it being to much SPL and not enough SQ,, Yea im not just running one sub Im going to end up getting 4,, as it stands now I got 4 RE SE's running on a T40001bd, so i wanted to upgrade to stronger subs and an other T40001bd to bad getting 4 older xxx15" would be a pain. well maybe I can go with the MX's but since there rated at 1500 watts it worries me a little

  15. I know alot of sub can take huge power but are people really getting good SQ out of them? at least as good as anRE SE? P.S sorry about the topic being copyied when I was making it it locked up on me and i guess it counted all the times i hit post topic
  16. I know its alot to ask but Ive gotten use to the sound i get out of these SE's , but Im working on getting a second T40001bd and need somthing thats going to take the power and hopefully with the upgrade I can get my truck into the 150 mark..
  17. Yea i wouldnt mind buying some RCA's and X-over. X2 about that amp , i was thinking the same thing when i installed it those wires would look better covered up Heres how i got them , its a four door truck and i got 2sets in each door
  18. As far as amps Im running JBL GTO 1004.4's two of them. What im trying to see is if i can get them louder by going Active but i was thinking about doing something simple like getting a 3 way x-over and running the amps off of that. Basicly im justing seeing if pulling out the x-overs that came with these JBL C608GTI's and going active would benifit me at all.
  19. Currently have the GTI's608 in my truck, running eight woofers and 8 tweeters. if i pulled the passive crossovers out and went Active would I see any difference? as in louder or even cleaner sounding, or would it just be a big waste of time?
  20. They'll take more, I currently got a RF T40001bd to 4 15's SE's and there takeing it just fine. Before that i had two US AMPS 2000x's and they seemed to take it fine
