  1. Image Dynamics Max are a good SQ sub.
  2. If it's a Marine Maxx, rock it. I have one right now, going to go for a 2nd shortly. They are 100AH
  3. To get all fancy technical, you could run it at 2 ohm. If you short 2 coils, put a resistor on 2 coils, or put a variable resistor on 2 coils, you could indeed run it at 2 ohms. But for sake of argument, we can run it at 1 or 4 ohm.
  4. Battery wise you should be golden. What motor do you have in the GA, the 3.1 or the 2.3?
  5. I was looking at the opts600.4 - that one is definitely calling my name. I was going to get the opti 200.4 but it only does 200x4 at 2 ohm. Little extra oomph goes a long way.
  6. Anyone running the new 2009 series stuff? I just sold my 4 channel, and wanted to pick up one of the new Scion amps.
  7. I'm going to poke my head in. The Max 12's aren't bad, I have a few friends running them with zero problems. I'm an Optidrive kind of guy. I love the old Zed stuff, and the recent Optidrive line too.
  8. Lanzar Optidrive 1532D will work great with 2.5 cubes.
  9. I meant to say even with it, still might fry it.
  10. Short radius elbows make baby jesus cry and cause chuffing.
  11. If it's going to be close, run them outside of the box.
  12. That's the problem that plagues just about all square subs. L5's and L7's had that problem, don't know if that's been fixed yet.
  13. you want the area that's dotted, measure that. It is ok to have it outside of the enclosure, just means it doesn't displace inside the box I have a cavfire, yup, still got it. Haven't had it on the road in about 2 years, but it's just about ready for inspection.
  14. It might be pushing it. With impedence rise on your box, you might end up frying it. Keep the voltages up and see what happens.
  15. It needs to be no less than the port diameter distance from the wall.
  16. take a piece of string, put it dead center and follow the curve. measure the length, subtract the amount of straight pieces inside of the elbow, and you have your length.
  17. Actually it'll change your tuning slightly. With less sub in the box, less displacement, it'll lower your tuning.
  18. I have the 4 channel version of the M series amp. It sounds good, but I'd go with the HK amp to run your sub.
  19. You'll also subtract the displacement of the sub from your box calculations.
  20. Quoted for truth. XLR is where it's at. Most modern gear is going to have XLR.
  21. I have it on my Sunfire. You spray a black base, then spray it as a midcoat, then clear over it.
  22. The only thing I can think of is for a little bit of structural for that outer layer. I wouldn't put any power to it at all.
