  5. As the topic states, 250 amp EA alternator with adjustable regulator. Can go from 14-20 volts. Will absolutely fit Pontiac Sunfire/Chevy Cavalier/S10 with the 2.2 and the 4.3, and probably a bunch of other vehicles. Regulator, rectifier and bearings were new and tested by Mechman. Asking 325 shipped.
  6. I have a 250 amp EA alt with adjustable voltage regulator - if your alt looks like mine then it should fit. I'm asking 325 shipped.
  7. Your computer power supply isn't going to have enough juice on the 12 volt line to feed more than a few hundred watts.
  8. Rumor has it those are a good SPL monster, but musically they don't play so well.
  9. The lower the ohms, the better the ground is of course. Anything around 6 ohms and above tends to make some noise, and potentially can get hot and cause other problems. The core support is the front end where the headlights and radiator are at. Did you have a chance to work on it last weekend?
  10. I've done IT work for numerous colleges, and I do it for the State of PA right now.
  11. The question you should be asking is if the amplifier can handle it. If you're running two dual 4 ohm subs, the answer is yes, the amplifier can handle it.
  12. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=51975 I think it needs to be stickied.
  13. NewLS1 - if you used a piece of wire, and the noise all went away, that means from the front ground to the rear ground there is some serious resistance going on. That's why you're getting your specific noise. I bet if you ran a 1/0 from your ground point up front to your ground point in back, you'd be in like flint, zero noise.
  14. My thread that was linked will cover just about everything you'll need. On a very very rare occassion you'll need an isolator. Try everything that I have mentioned in there first.
  15. I second that. Most of your cat 5 is going to be a single strand though.
  16. two to four grand is REALLY pushing it. I'd say closer to a grand or 1500. You said A/C doesn't work, and you're going to be looking for a specific crowd with the body kit.
  17. Did you see my post about engine noise and the things to do to try to eliminate it?
