Yup the are shipped directly from DC shipping dept. I wish they did come with spec sheets or something to signify exactly which model they are then maybe I could have caught that the first one wasn't a regular m2 and saved myself some hassle. Oh well live and learn I guess lol.

Well I contacted corona_Jeff he's the one who helped me out when I placed the order. He's helping me out again I'm hoping I can send it back and get it replaced for another sub with upgraded cone and surround. Also just so everyone knows droppinhz isn't at fault here they sent me the correct sub that I ordered I just didn't know sonic had sent me the m2.1 model(or whatever its called) when I ordered the listing was for a regular m2 and when I went to order another the site only had what was listed as m2.1 so I went through droppinhz to get another m2. Wish I would have known then what I know now. Neither sub came with spec sheets or anything to specify what they where besides the go was marked with size level and coil configuration.

Ignore the difference in dustcaps lol. So those are some super crappy cell pics I'll get some better ones up. The one with the patterns in the surround has a much beefier cone that makes the cone on the new sub look wimpy. Also can't tell from the pics really but the surrounds are also different in size and shape.

Don't know both where supposed to be regulator old m2s. Neither came with spec sheets.

Well I ordered a level 3 15 from sonicelectronix about a month ago maybe 2 I got it everything was cool I went to order another and they didn't have m2's anymore only m2.1's So I ordered another m2 from droppinhertz. Well today I finally get the new 15 in and I notice the cone and surround are way different. On the 2 same motor and basket just different cone and surround. Will they still work well together or am I stuck with 2 subs I basically can't use?

Trying to order another sub dc m2 level 3 15 d4. Got the last one through sonicelectronix. Cost was 285 now it says dc m2.1 and cost 10 dollars more is this a different version or am I tripping? Need to order 3 more and I don't want to have 1 m2 and 3 m2.1's? Was going to order from another site maybe just to make sure I get matching subs but didn't want to get different dustcaps plus I've pretty much always ordered from sonicelectronix have for years. So I'm comfortable about doing business with sonic not so much too many other places.. I'm rambling up kinda late. I bought a soundstream single din flip out from sonic that was an absolute piece of shit screen stopped flipping out after like a month and then the CD drive went out then the volume control knob went out. It was still under warranty and couldn't get sonicelectronix to even reply to me also if it's not professionally installed you get little to no warranty. I've never had any luck with customer service from sonicelectronix just bought a dc level 3 through them and when I received the motor was pretty scratched up I didn't even bother trying to message them lol. I've been ordering from them from years and still love sonic but I'm just sayin lol. I wouldn't count on a warranty. Also just realized this thread is a little on the old side lol so I'm guessing you have already received and installed this head unit any opinions on it so far?

Might even try to go for 6 15's I will see when I get the ride what kind of room ive got to work with... Im aiming for a 160 db out of this so imma do whatever I can to get that... I guess I will have to wait and see what happens...

xl's need 5 cubes the lvl 4s only need 4 cubes im planning on only having like 17 cubic feet total to work with so that wouldnt work out so well on airspace...

Yea and I dont know if its true but I heard that lvl 5's can do more with the power you give them than the lvl 4's...

If everything goes right should be going in an older 2 door 4/4 blazer... Going to revome back seats and box will be at or under window line... probably going with 2 t20001bd's... but will probably upgrade later to like 8k watts total instead of 4k. Will upgrade electrical... highoutput alts... big three... extra batts...

4 level 4 15's... or 2 level 5 18's??? that is the question?

Nice I like older s-15s and s-10s... but ditch those amps and subs bro vr3 amps and pioneer subs both total crap...
