to be honest i dont think my cap is so good but still my voltage drops to about 11 on long bass hits but i have to say its running fine. Try setting all up with quality 4gage waires and then take it from there. Of course i know theres pro's on here and u could take thier advice aswell... :^

judging from the info as stated before you probly wont need a new alt. Im running 2400watts RMS and im currently on Stock ALT and stock Batt. I had to change my original 063 battery as it died in 6 months but now i have a 065 and its not even cutting out. As long as ur wires are fine i think you would be ok.

well as said, which kickers is it? Also is the amp 2000 watts peak or 2000 watts RMS as u would need about 2000rms for the 15 inch kicker solobarics. Also that price may be abit too much for a used system. I mean here in uk i can get the kicker 15" l7's for about 150 each new and say 2 amps for 150 each is about 600 roughly speaking. Of course i dont know the prices in America but also dunno how true this is but they say kickers are easy to fry.

Steve As said took ur advice brought the ipid adaptor, man, NO SKIPS, INSTANT PLAYBACK, NO GLITCHES Im sooo happy tht i took ur advice and to be honest i would also recomend it to everyone else!... Also changed the way my system is this week, got a new sealed box built as i dont have the space for a ported one, and faced the subs up, its goood man... 2400rms and its not cutting out any more either and i've got stock batt stock alt. but each amp has inidiviual Ground and Battery Wire (it used to be both off 1 wire and either one would cut out) Lovin this forum more and more day by day!

YUP, i even tired sutff sponge in the dash under and ontop and still it cuts offf when the bass hits, i have 2400rms, i've tried taking it all out, when its out it doesnt skip but when i put it back in place whether its with the sponge or without it still skips the same... i guess this model itsnt for a loud system after all, but as stated i will be getting the ipod adaptor.

dham man, i just brought a pioneer DEH-55BT and it skips like hell! Even the littlest bump it flopps out when its normal Audio Cd, when its mp3 CD it can read for about 2 seconds and then it gives me error 12 (means change disc - dirty disc or corrupt disc) I had a Sony deck, it cost about £40 (not legitimate) and hardly ever skipped lol but i brought the Pioneer from a dealer and i really regret paying £190 (aproxx $350).... Is there any tips with the way you install the CD players that might help? I.e I used to use blue tack on the sides so it fits RIGHT in and doesnt move, and it atuaclly worked. But i've tried blue tack with this and it kinda helps but still skips. I guess i might have to get an ipod adaptor after all....

im afriad i did... but they gave me 1 year warranty, aslo i emailed them about the problem on sunday night at about 8pm and i got a reply at 10pm, now thats good service, they are going to replace it.... if this replacement dies aswell i will get them to replace it again and sell it on... thanks for all the input guys.... just start work again so i should have a steady cashflow for abit...

MAN I MUST HAVE BAD LUCK..... I just sold my Vibe monobox 4 amp for £180 and i was thinking yes a little bit of neat profit for me, so i brought the EQ... i love the EQ but today it Died taking my Headunit along with it!? i also received a fine for parking wrongly from the post this morning, and today police pulled my over becasue i was listening to loud music where there was an incident and i didnt follow orders as to turn it down!? i was like i didnt even see no one signaling for me to turn it down nor looking at me, i felt like saying u should have shouted it might have worked.... dham man.... Now i dont have a head unit or EQ, Boss audio are going to replace the EQ but my headunit is dead.... :'( ALSO I JUST GOT LOADS of engine Noise coming out my temp headunit..... lucky got a spare...

ok, but not to forget im in Uk... lol shipping may cost quite abit.. ok i got what the big 3 is now lol... also i know this isnt electrical, but do you stuff anything in the enclosures? i havnt really seen anything in the pictures but some people were advising me to stuff wool or cotton etc....

ok i may sound really retarded but whats the big 3? lol I kinda have a feeling im loosing Bass becasue of this EQ..... My mirrors dont vibrate as much.. never minds. Also the Only 0 gauge wiring i found was at a website called www.fasteronline.co.uk for the uk and they seem to have the cheapest price, £6.49 a meter where as other places/stores i went to rage from about £11 a meter, almost double the price, and also they have free delivery.... I've ordered so i should get 5 meters some time in the week... :^

thanks guys, Just put in an EQ today, Boss audio (it seems ok) had to take out a pocket on the dash, as for the wiring, i've decieded to get 0 gauge, then get a ditribution block and ditribute in to 2 4gaue to each amp, and also going to get a yellow top where the spare battery is... Thinking to complete all this by the end of otc. roughly 10 more days, im gonna completly re-wire everything, build a new box (ported) tuned to 32hz, and then i'll post some pictures :^

Dham i just couldnt resist, I got my self another JBL 1201.1 1200 Watts RMS, and at the moment im pushing 2400 Just off 4 gauge wiring, Now that created LOADS more problems, i now need anothe run of 4 gauge minimum to the second amp as pulling it from the single cuts it off.... I DEFO need yellow top in back now... and im going to change the stock battery.... hopefully that should sort stuff out, but man now i got the 2 amps, wiring looks terrible.... i defo need some advice ideas on how to keep it clean.. also pics would help loads!

theres a few i used to use but they are complicated, E-Logic Pro 4 (not the latest version) Cubase Reason Rebirth They're awsome Once you get the hang of them, which mite take quite a bit of time lol

kk.... Theres 2 problems for me now..... finding a cheap yellow top, and SPACE! major one is SPACE, my enclosure takes the whole of my boot, and i dont have any space what so ever..... Ohh, im thinking about taking out the spare tire, lol i just brought a EQ of ebay....

ohh bugger, lol Well i've changed my mind, im going to get the stock battery replaced with another better one, and then im going to add a yellow top batt and all wiring is going to be upgraded, also going to get a new box designed (ported) hopefully should be louder and more powerful, i didnt want to spend this much as im going to change the car in december and buy a Volkswagen Golf, but i can take all out.. Thanks for all the help guys! Also just wanted to know, whats the diffrence between say a normal car batt and a yellow top? i mean i can pick up a normal batt for 10 quid (roughly 18 dollars) but i just checked the price for yellow tops and its raging from about £150 ($270+) ? lol

Im in uk and looking at prices the batts etc are pretty expensive, also i looked for some 1/0 gage wiring. these are the current steps im going to change, im going to change the wire to 0 gauge, but about the battery, couldnt i just change the stock battery to a bigger one? also if not could i just get a 1 batt in the back... about changing the alt, i think thats going to be pretty hard... so i'll look in to batts first but as its a family car, Nissan Almera 2003 plate, its not really designed for these sort of things so im guessing the alt should be pretty small... so could i possibly pull off by getting an extra batt and using 2 power caps, i know the power caps arnt the option but for now it seems like it just gonna have to be... :V :- Also could any one post pictures of thier wiring how its done neatly plz? Thank you... any sort of tips for wiring? thanks :^

Hiya guys, got a problem, need a few suggestions. Firstly at the moment im runniung two Vibe Space 15" subs from 1 JBL GTO1201.1 wired at 2 ohms. Now when i turn up the amp it goes in to proection and i know this is becasue at the moment when i rev it kinda lasts longer. I brought a power cap, 1.2 farad it seems to have helped a little bit but not so much. Im running 1200 Watts RMS at the moment, now this is where my problem starts, next week im getting a second JBL GTO 1201.1 so then i will be running 2400 Watts RMS. Im doing all this from 4 Gague Wires, and im currently using AGU 80 amp fuse which seems to keep blowing, spent nearly over $20 just on fuses this week. (im in uk but im just converting currency lol). My subs are 1200 watts each RMS and are in a sealed enclosure. Would getting like say 4 1.2 farad caps help? or like getting a 10 Farad Power Cap? Also if anyone could, can you please upload pictures of your wiring, and techniuqes to hide or make it look neat etc? mine looks a disaster even though i've got only 1 amp at the moment. :^

well i dont know how i managed it but once i took a amp off while the system was on and i saw my head unit go up in smoke, never worked again... lol :^
