  1. i got a system in my is300 i know its luxury car but its more sport...
  2. no the only thing they do is there is some company you can mail your ecu to and you get it back in about 2 days... but i would rather not go sending it off
  3. After i get my car tuned up and i save up a little money i was wondering what are some minor things i can do to my car besides a cold air intake that will gain me some HP? I do not want to get an exhaust so an exhaust is out of the picture... any ideas would be appreciated... I drive a 2002 lexus is300
  4. well took car this morning to a street where i could stop and go 0-60 and i ran it in 9.4 that was on the street but i am going to be changing all the spark plugs and the fuel filter then will retry it... i might get the spark plug wires changed also...
  5. the track isnt very even and they spray a lot of that grip stuff almost halfway down the track... i would guess its the track then...
  6. okay i have a 2002 lexus is300 automatic transmission. the car was taken care of by previous owner and was garage kept and was in perfect condition when i bought it month ago. I took it to the track near me which is a 1/8 mile track and i run 10.4 to 10.6 at about 64-67 mph... if my car is rated for about 7.4 from 0-60 why does it take over 10 seconds to do 1/8 mile at 65?
  7. Bad thing is my amp doesnt have a subsonic filter... Its a 10hz fixed so it dont help...
  8. dude i tuned the port by entering all my calculation into the port calculator on REs website and i think it would be tuned to 36hz if i put in all my calculations then did the box exactly the same as the calculator... so its tuned to right somewhere around 36 hz give or take a few numbers.... but trust me its not tuned to 45hz anymore thats about where i had it before and lower notes sound better now....
  9. i cant run it like that anyways because my amp is supposed to only be 4 ohm stable at mono but i talked to you before and i had it hooked up 2ohm mono before and it didnt shut amp off or effect it...
  10. Is that better than the way i got it now? where each voice coil runs off 1 channel?
  11. my box is 30x15x15 and the port is 3.5" wide by 25 long total which means its tuned to 38 hz based on the re L port calculator...
  12. okay i redid my port by basically taking the top of box off and undoing the port pieces the used calculator to tune it to the correct frequency... my box was tuned to 45hz before and now its tuned to about 36hz...
  13. yes i did i was told to use a 45 hz bass tone and turn the amp down all the way then turn up until u get to a certain metet reading...
  14. which of those cant be put at 1 ohm? dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm?
  15. im not totally sure but all i know is that you cant do a 1ohm load on it becuz it is not the right one so whichever it is...
  16. ok on the last note of I Put On still sounds bad... i redid the port and used the RE Enclosure Calculator to tune the port to 36HZ and that last note on I Put On still sounds like it is bottoming out and i have my amp set right and i have it set to rms rating for the speaker put on it... http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/09/woofer09_1500.asp http://www.mmxpress.com/eclipse/amplifiers.htm i have the eclipse 33230 and i have it hooked up where one voice coil goes to right channel and the other voice coil goes to the left channel...
  17. how would you wall it if seats dont go down? you mean like taking out the back seats or something? I dont really want to wall it though i would rather go with something that just shoots everything out of the armrest or through an area between the 6x9s like someone else said... if i cut out an opening up there and put breathable carpet it would be louder already...
  18. I drive a lexus is300 and it really makes me mad because my sub is really loud but my seats dont fold down and the only thing that really lets bass through is the two 6x9s and the arm rest on the back seat that folds down and has about a 7 inch by 5 inch opening... what are some ways that i could beable to have a lot more sound come through??? I was wondering if a custom bandpass box where all the sound ports through armrest would be a good idea???
  19. I have been looking for a billet grill for my 2002 lexus is300 and am having a very hard time finding it... http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/mytightride...lletGrill05.jpg Something like that but for my car...
