  1. i appreciate the help man, how do u calibrate it, like twist the projector linse till it goes clear?

how much would a tv place charge to do this for him?

you don't....you need calibrations tools for this...they're expensive...like $20k or more. you call the TV repair guy, have him come out, and pay him $150 and a sixer

  2. if all you have is $100 you're better off putting it in a savings account until you have enough to put in a CD (short term), or go ahead ans start a Roth IRA...you can put up to 5000 a year into it, and when you withdraw (for retirement or school or medical) it's tax free and penalty free. (some banks have different rules on withdrawals...education and retirement are supposed to be without penalty)

if you start saving for retirement NOW, maxing out the Roth at today's caps ($5k until age 49, $6k thereafter) you'll have over $200k just in invested capital...then there's maturity and growth. it is estimated that if you properly invest, starting at age 18, you can retire with over $4Million, not including any company retirement plans, like a 401(k)

  3. none of the above. razor blade (single edge) for the glass. Adhesive eraser for the paint. lubricate with baby shampoo and water in a spray bottle, and put it in a drill at low speed...comes right off. The eraser wheel will run you about $40 at Autozone or pepboys. DO NOT LET IT GET HOT!!! you will burn the paint. keep it slow and keep it moving. don't settle it on one spot.

  4. those tubes look WELL used. the grids look to be in OK shape (at least on the pre-amp that I can see). I know a few guys who can take a look at it. Tubes CAN run into the thousands, but not for that...looking maybe $15 each
