  1. How it goes if you are found the winner is, the judge will take your estimates as well as any estimates that the other parties have gathered.

He will then usually find a happy medium of the estimates giving to them and will award you a certain amount of money for said repairs.

However if the shop you want the car to get fixed at wants $3000, and all your estimates are in that price range, and the other parties estimates are in the $2000 range, most likely you will get awarded the difference of your estimates and theirs making it $2500.

Now you can do whatever you want with that $2500, and have that shop that quoted you $3000 to repair the vehicle, but your stuck paying the difference, or even say screw the repairs and pocket the cash.

A lot of times people are in good terms with certain shops, so of coarse your going to goto the shop for an estimate that you know will help you out by getting more money then needed for the repairs, while its the complete opposite for the guilty parties, and they may goto their mechanic that is a friend or something simular and he will say well I can fix this damage for only $1000. This is why the judge will normally find a happy medium.

    On last thing to remember.

Small claims court will just put a judgement for money on the guilty parties. It will be put on their Credit Report, if they dont pay making loans and other financing hard to get.

So if you win your case, you will not immediately get paid, hell you may never get paid, or maybe get paid $10 bucks a month. The guilty party may file for bankruptcy leaving you totally fucked over.

Now if you are smart, you would have insurance, then your insurance will cover the damage even tho its not your fault, and they would take their lawyers and go after the guilty parties, without any cost to you.

true...when you win your case you MUST ask for payment terms or garnishee immediately. A judgement does nothing but piss them off.

  2. I can sorta see why, Non-lethal alternative for rodent (neighbors effing cat <_< ) control in addition to non-lethal home defense... shoot em in the face

Okay, you are not firearm savy. 12gauge been bags are capable of disrupting human organ function. It would obliterate a small animal no questions asked. And as for home defense, why would you WANT to have a non lethal form?

This...Iload mine with Blank, Rock Salt, 00, 00, Slug....if the blank and salt don't scare them away, and the buck shot doesn't stop them...fuck 'em...I'm taking their head

  3. Finally got through to my Dad, he's in law enforcement and always working. He said it is my choice, but I must get at least 3 estimates and the responsible party gets to choose which one to pay. Obviously, they'll choose the cheapest one. The system is sooooooo broken.

Ken...I have a very good and incredibly qualified friend in Baldwin Park. Call Duran's Quality Paint, talk to Jess and tell her I sent you there. Explain the situation and that you don't want to get screwed with a lowball estimate from a shop that will do it halfass just to get the bid. She will most likely come in 10-15% cheaper for you so you can get it done right, and they'll do the work better than factory. Also, Mike Rios is there doing custom audio, and is a great friend to make. Not only a great all around guy, but an amazing fabricator. Call me and I'll get you hooked up there

  4. pretty much all the brands supported on this forum fit those guidelines. Check out DC audio, Sundown audio, Digital Designs(a little more mainstream than the rest), Incriminator audio, Fi audio, audioque, and Ascendant Audio

those are all great companies but they are mainstream, i mean com panies like obsidian and stuff but if they arent really that good i wont bother. i was looking at some aq hdc3's but idk

those companies are only mainstream HERE. Kicker, Alpine, Soundstream, MTX...those are mainstream companies. Companies even out of the loop people know.

  5. DO NOT OPEN A SHOP!!!!

if you don't have YEARS of install experience under your belt you are NOT PREPARED for all the anomalies that can pop up.

If you don't have years of business experience you will not know how to run the business side of it.

If you still insist upon opening a shop you will HAVE to start as a distribution customer, meaning you will not be able to buy direct from the manufacturers. Without a decent credit history in the industry no one will sell direct...even credit card or COD.

You'll need an insurance policy for at least $500k per occurrence, $5 Million umbrella.

If you don't know how to install alarms don't bother...or find an experienced installer. He will expect to be paid $150 a day
