hell ya man. i just got a new xs power 3400 in the front. look at carstereogiant.com they always have good open box deals on sundown subs and amps
I really want to, I want to sell my current Soundstream first and use the money from that to help pay for a used SAZ-1500
are you getting a new amp?
Yeahh man! I had preordered the X12 but since I got a new car, I am able to fit the 15 so I switched the order and paid the difference. I'm shooting for a 4ft^3 tuned to 30hz via 6" aero. Deff gonna move some air with that
oh getting a x 15. cant wait to see some videos man. i wish i would of got me a x12 there so damn niceSo excited for my 15 to come in! Although I wont install it until I buy my door speakers and a processor the wait will pay off though!
Could check emf audio as well for bstock. DB-r has refurbished sundown amps.

^ Maybe even 1 15" X or Z, if your planning on this being permanent. If you go with a 12", you do get the option of adding a second sub and amp later.
-
I'd imagine 100 extra watts would be nothing to the x series.
-
The SD series would be best for you. Find your maximum dimensions and we could recommend you a size.
-
BTW I'm going to be doing something very similar, except I'm doing it active off my SAX125.4, so let me know how it sounds I'm very interested in the results.
-
I'd imagine that resistance will be fine, sundown amps are known for people who know what they're doing being able to run super low resistances. I don't think that running a 25% lower resistance will be too low. But, I agree that you should try the passive crossovers first at least until you can get your hands on an CC1 and DD1 to make sure your crossover is right and they're not getting an clipped signal.
-
. Most of our mids and tweeters with favor a smoother sound ; but I will likely put some out later that have a sharper sound for those that prefer it.
You might be able to implement a set utilizing the Neopros with a matching tweeter/crossover network to get that kind of a sound?
-
Damn the 15" is deeper than the 18"! Those frames are BA!

I found a video of Jacob when he created the Monster that is the z v.4
-
Looking awesome man! Don't worry about people telling you something would of been better, even if you got the absolute best you could of possibly done, it'll be short-lived. Things come out quick in the computer world, something newer and better will come out in a month of two. That computer will max every game out there for years to come! And that's all that should matter.
You got plans for a sound system for it? Surround sound maybe?
-
Makes sense he lives in Sarasota, that's like 15 minutes from me. I sometimes feel like the only sane person in a world of morons. :/
-
Will there be a video when he gets it? I'm curious what his reaction will be
-
I guess I could understand where he's coming from, because amplifiers put more/less power out at different frequencies because the subwoofer has different resistances at different frequencies, but I couldn't imagine that would make a big difference?

pick the most cheapest, flea market amp you can find. A Boss amp perhaps. And shove a DD-1 probe into it. I bet it doesn't blow. So if it doesn't blow, made of the cheapest parts there is, then what does that say about whatever amp that was that blew? I highly doubt it did FROM our product. I have never seen it EVER and sold 3,000 of them so far...not one customer called and said their amp blew.
I have an old Boss amp I'm not using any more. When I get my DD-1 I'll make a video of me tuning it, and it NOT breaking, and ask the viewer what the hell kind of cheap shit amp your running that breaks from tuning it with a DD-1, when I can tune this cheap shit Boss amp and it's working fine afterwards.
Probably start the video with tuning my Sundown amp, than say "You know what? Sundown makes awesome amps, maybe not every amp is up to par with Sundown. Maybe I should show you tuning of a crappy amp?"

He's worried about how the DD-1 doesn't account for voltage drop, when he should be worrying about how to stop the voltage from dropping in the first place... :/

It'll work fine. I'm sure if he took the heatsink off, it'll be evenly distributed.

why is everybody so stuck on the surround jl audio w7 line has the same type of surround im just curious to know will they come in 18s with that surround since jl stops at 13w7 and will it be able to grab those low deep notes
