I only have 2 albums on there right now

I have a Kenwwod Excelon X-692 and I usually use a standard usb blank flash drive to store my music on. I decided to upgrade to this WD 120GB Mini Portable USB 2.0 External Hard Drive but now it wont read on my deck and my flash drive is broken. How do i get this hard drive to be bank with no drivers? Reformat? Am I out of luck? Any ideas? PLEASE HELP! Cannot listen to the radio forever!!!! haha. Thanks guys.

Sorry it took so long to respond. For the longest time i couldn't figure out how to get my old topics. But yea i think it worked out. I didn't check my amp voltage using a dmm. I did re wire it for a 4 ohm load. Sometimes when i really push my type r (like playing "White Girl") I can smell the sub a little bit. But I would not think that my kenwood amp would push the type r that hard. Is smell normal out of a subwoofer? Or should I drop my gain down a lil bit. The reason I ask instead of just do is because my amp sucks to get too. I have to empty out my back seat, lift it up, take out my sub and move it somewhere else which alters the sound of the sub compared to when im driving if that all makes sense. Ill have to put some pics up soon so you guys can gimme some more tips. thanks.

Hey guys. I got an Alpine Type R 2ohm dvc and a 2 channel Kenwood KAC-X20 amp. I've been trying to figure out how to wire the type r so i get a 2 ohm load to my amp. Currently i just have each voice coil wired to each channel on the amp. Please help!!!!! Or is this the right way to wire it? Also i have my gain about 3/4 max and i smell the subwoofer when i bang. The woofer is 500 rms 1500 max. My amp is 260 x 2 @ 2 ohm rms. Do i smell it only because it is brand new or do i need to turn down the gain? Will a Bass Knob cancel out the gain control on the amp if installed? PLEASE HELP!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!

Im Orande aka OJ. Im in Minnesota. From New York. Saw Steve and this sight googling car install forums. Got a 2000 Silverado. Alpine Kappas highs. Soon to come Blowthrough (unless anyone has an easier idea) with Fi 15s or 18s btl not sure on amps. I got a X20 Kenwood amp running my door speakers.
