  1. I'm unsure why no one has said anything about running your bass boost on your deck 15/15. I never and mean never run my bassboost more than 25% of max. Let the amp door the work and stop trying to overdrive it with the headunit. One of the largest misused settings and biggest killer of coils.

Now as to your current issue. Did you take pictures of the recone broken still in the motor? Before gutting it? I know you say you fixed it 3 times but I really dont see that amount of glue on the spider nor ring? Im not saying you didnt, maybe you used small beads I dont know. Call the shop and we can chat.

    Next....

On to the xl build what you got in mind?

  2. In most cases I would say back presssure i.e. in my spl boxes at 2800 watts I fold cones like a champ hence the reason I glass the cones so I can take advantage of the 7k+ the box is capable of generating.

In this instance (I could be wrong) the box appears to be to big causing over excursion and stressing the cone until it gives out. The dustcap is a good indicator of this as well as the stress marks(creases) on the cone.

If your feeling adventerous you could glass matt the cone and glue surround back to it and of course gorilla tape the surround. My best advice would be to recone the sub then adjust the ssf up some to limit power to the sub as its fairly clear to me that its at its mechanical limits in that box.

  3. Kimo the GP is being built now for stock trunk in drag. What would i qualify in for Iasca? Can I make the trunk classes or do I have to go pro because of working within the industry? I'll be at at least one show if not 2. If by chance we do end up with a west coast local for Iasca I want to try and have a teammate run the GP in October.

  4. That's the spirit bro... I actually didn't get A trophy Saturday for bassrace , nyman textd me later and said he had one for me.. I told rob and upperlake crew don't worry about it give what they had to the new guys... I understand they are our future in the sport and receiving a trophy 1st time out will hopefully get them to continue competeing

There was some miscommunication at the show between Alex and Jim. We had more than plenty to cover all and Nyman should have brought yours home. If not its at Upper Lake awaiting your return lol

Thanks for the kind words. I know we are all really working hard to get more shows especially at the shops again. We are even going to far as to offer the first at our expense to show them what DbDrag/Meca is all about! We need to be back in the shop parking lots helping them bring in new faces, business, excitement etc..

  5. I wish when people have a issue, come talk about it. I am at many shows, feel free to approach me.

Sad to hear about people (especially newbies) not receiving trophy's won.

You don't get much from winning already so those are important.

So any newbies (i.e. not christian) would like a trophy that dale owes you post it here,

Hopefully you got a tag that day that goes on them.

I will see about getting you trophys if u can pick them up at a show.

Thats a true Veteran Competitor! Always looking out for the new guy!

  6. What if I want my car in the competitors area for demo's and such, but won't be competing. How much is that? $12?

$50 to get your car inside. or you can enter the car show but you would have to check out the Forbidden Fantasy site

Kimo I just cut and Pasted it from the termpro site

So beast demo machines will be in the spectator parking lot? LOL lame.

If you have a beast demo machine, pay the money ($50.00) and compete and demo inside:)

    x2!!
