AaaHaaa I guess it would help if I looked at things and would read instructions LOL. I could still use some of that tinsel and a few terminals if you still have some. But let me see what happens this weekend, hopefully I can sell this MTX box and a few other things so I can get those 12's and 15's.

So I got this speaker as a parts speaker from a guy off CL. I checked the coil and it was all good so I figured that I would throw it in one of the boxes I had laying around to see what it sounded like. And well here is the Vid.

Try in your vid editing software to make it a different format like MPG4 I think. I am new at it as well but that is what I have found work and make the upload times faster.

Look on CACO there are a few poeple that are selling some good parts or better yet hit up ForeverBumpin here on SMD. He has a fair amount of parts I think and can set you up with some good stuff.

I have never done it either so this will be my first time. I have done repairs on speakers, re surrounding them and fixing tinsel leads and so forth but never a full recone. But I can rebuild an engine, so I figure I can re build a sub LOL. Wish me luck LOL.

Yea I am pretty happy that I was able to find a motor to match the one that I have being that it is a weird one.

Well the motor is 100 shipped and the basket from Forever Bumpin (here on SMD) is going to be under 30 bucks. So not bad, but I do still have to recone them. But it will be well worth it in my mind.

Well I hope to have the parts with in the next month to make a matching sub (motor and basket). But I may go with DC for the recones if Dan the man doesn't have some.

I am not to sure but it would really be cool to recone it with all the original parts!

To my knowledge the car may have had a theft deterrent system (different than an alarm in that it has no key fob). I also would say it does have ABS, I know my 90 Infinity has it (Infinity being the upper line of Nissan). So I just picked this up as a parts woofer but it still works! I do still plan to recone it soon because it has a rub mark on the coil, I'm also a accumulating the parts to build a matching sub. I know very little about this sub other than it is kind of rare (or so I have been told). i will be saving the old cone, coil and stuff just as memorabilia of a cool hand built sub. What do you guys know about them? Any info is more than I really know.
