  8. Its one of the things you will notice with videos of Trippi's Hummer. You can hear the highs in the vids while the subs are getting it. In most vids the subs drown out the mids and highs. Trippi's mids and highs are so loud you can hear them over the bass. Its crazy loud. Like you need to walk 50 ft away to try and talk to someone loud.
  9. Look on Parts Express. They have pre built 2 and 3 way crossovers for DIY speaker builders on their site. All kinds of goodies for speaker builders on the site.
  10. Lets try again. Thats a net size your talking about. The remainder after sub, box walls/bracing and port displacement. If all you have is 6 cubes gross your looking at a 2 - 12 box, a single 15 box or a single 18 box. The 18 would be sub specific. Some want larger boxes. Fitting a single 18 would still be difficult if built right. You may need 1.5 - 2 cubes just for displacements. Dont try and put a bigger sub in your setup than you can fit. Smaller subs in the correct box will do better than a sub in the wrong size box.
  11. When is Eric gonna get the new power plant? He's gonna make them 10's cry when that beast goes in there.
  12. I had one of these too. Good stuff.
  13. Way back when I had one of those Realistic under the dash amp/eq's but have no idea what the specs were. It sounded like ass but that was probably because I had no idea what I was doing. First real amps were a pair of Coustic 360's that I installed in my old Ranger. Same deal though, I didnt know what I was doing. No idea what ohm load the amp was seeing. I can remember that when I was pounding on it hard I could smell baking electrical components. Damn things would get so hot I couldnt keep my hands on them. They took the abuse though and never shut down.

  24. Congrats Bro. Rick deserves major props for giving all us bassheads a place to go and play every month. Its very rare for a shop around here to have 2 comps a year. Always a good time there for sure.
