  1. Yes. This is the second steering column i have broken. The norm seems to be 1 per year. Last time it was broken much worse then this but never turned in a complete 180 on me. I really have no idea how it got like that, but i was in the middle of turning a corner when it rotated around and locked the wheels causing me to end up in the opposing lane at a 45 degree angle blocking the road. Took me about 15 minutes to unlock the wheel to limp it back home. Its dangerous driving these things.
  2. haha there are some good guesses in here. The gear is all prime, the truck isnt due to the effects of the gear. Can you tell me what is wrong here?
  3. Oh geez you thought i was serious?
  4. Thanks. Been pretty busy not much time to put up pics. But here ya go.
  5. I dont think what i just did is what he wants to do. Mine was a moderate build more just to add some bass and look good. This sounds like its going to rock pretty hard to me.
  6. Well i am going to try to get this thing up and running today.
  7. I dont believe it the guy is a liar. But i explained how the 34,000 watts was not a accurate rating because on that burp the cone detached. This obviously effects the spikes in amperage and voltage. On that burp it should have been right around 12,000 watts.
  8. Good work Bails. Its ready for my show.
  9. I still do not know how people do this? Personally i have yet have tinsel lead failure, even when i was beating up my lv3 12s with my Stetsom 4k2d.
  10. haha Get to sleep Mexico awaits!!! My mexicain friend just left so i just had my little taste of mexico for the day.
  11. I dont like mirrors or lights in car audio applications they are great in the bathroom though.
  12. MIKE BAILS Cool to see you are actually getting this done for my show. Once the RHS is in we can do the inside of that enclosure with it and stiffen it up real good.
  13. 4 12s that is my opinion if you wanted it. Limited space with a lot of power is a simple decision for me, increase # of coils and use smaller subs. Cone area isnt as much of a factor as many people think. What is important and you have already mentioned is the enclosure design. If you are doing a flat wall in a small car 4 12s will fit nicely to one side and leave plenty of room for a port. Also just so you know when i ran 16 volts and a single Stetsom 7kd it pulled 810 amps of current clamped 10,450 watts on 4 lv5 12s with a score of 159.5 dB. This was in a musical setup as well. In my case i know i would have been louder running XLs but at the time the XL had not been invented. So my bet if 160 is your gold do 4 XL 12s.
  14. Yes that was the idea, turned out great. The pic from the front is what you see if you look behind you in the drivers seat. Its kinda trippy. lol
  15. ^^ Hey its alright if you dont like it, the customer LOVES it! More pics in the car.
  16. Thanks guys. 3/4" plexi. Pretty fresh design i think, big thanks to schmingie for the idea.
  17. Got a bit more done on the enclosure. Need to trim the edges with carpet still, but its coming together.
  18. Awesome sub it will serve you well.
  19. Interested to see how the cones hold in there. Finish that enclosure already!!! Then we will see some 154s.
