I just bought an amp off him, he's one hell of a guy. Plus he gave me a demo again lol it was AWESOME! and loud!

Well for one, pretty sure this is the wrong section. For two, pretty sure your poll is messed up. But i never use my mobile for SMD so it doesn't matter to me

Floored it in a 3.0 liter Ranger? lol that doesn't work! I had one and it had NO power! Be carful though the 3.0's are prone to breaking down alot. I had to put a new head gasket and water pump in mine. But it sounds like you could have messed up something in the alignment like already stated.

SPL boxes are tuned higher i'm not sure how high tho. You could probably just build one box with a changeable port.

2 - 8" diameter subs is not equal to a 16" diameter sub. You would have to have 4 - 8" diameter subs to equal a 16" diameter sub.
Doubling the diameter increases its capacity 4 times.
To find the area of a circle, multiply the the square of the diameter by 0.7854.

Well my dad is obsessed with Bose so I have a set in my room, a set in our entertainment room, a set in his room and a set in our basement. All older series Bose. Plus new Bose surround sound in our living room lol. I might go get the pic tonight since I have nothing else to do

I've got a set of bose kinda like that sitting next to me. They sound pretty good. I haven't looked at the actual speakers in them tho. I have a speaker in my shop that has a very interesting magnet. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow and post a pic

The only thing I can think of is voltage drop. Were you checking voltage at the amp? Otherwise i'm at a loss too

I had a 97 Contour and you can get those fairly loud. If I was you I would just look into running better subs and a better amp. I had 2 12" Type R's in my car and they got pretty loud on just 1000 watts. Or if you have the balls WALL THAT BISH!
