well it will still turn on i know that much but it scared the hell outta me so i just turned everything off as fast as possible

to be honest i have no idea what really happened i just turned it on and flipped the subsonic filter off and poof.

yea im sure one of the amp guys will chime in soon but look at the capicitor on the bottom right it looks different from all the rest and i can see a little black around it

just put em up and i know im dying right now lol

it looks like the capicitor on the bottom right is toast to me

i hooked my amp up today and like a retard i didnt make sure everything was connected properly. so as soon as it was turned on. poof! and started smokin. i think i blew a capacitor heres some pics cause i have no idea what i did

dont fuse it! the stock power wire doesn't have a fuse for this reason. ive heard that it can completely demolish your alt when the fuse pops because it has nothing to charge and it freaks out but correct me if im wrong

yea well if your worried about that (which i definitely see how you would be)...Id go with sundown there some beastly amps and ive never seen one blow running how that should be ran. also look at stetsom there great amps too

well seeing that you have to get the subs re-coned to go with DD or Sundown id recommend just getting the soundigital. you cant go wrong with any of those amps tho oh and are theese going to those 9518's in the h3?

x2 just because its a 15 dosent mean it will go lower than a 12 or a 10 etc. but it has more cone area which does help them get louder. but as far as how low they go is all in how the box is tuned

yea but the idea of prefab boxes dosent appeal to me. every sub is different ya know

just pay someone on here to make you a good box plan most of them on here will do it for ya for cheap

you could always go with some good alpine type x comps. they sound great and a reasonably priced

it shouldent be any different from other cars you just replace the wire going from your alternator to your battery with 1/0 gauge or bigger

just as your saying. the cd skips there is really no resolving that what kind of headunit are you running? if you get a ipod you wouldent have that prob ever again. or get an alpine just to test my alpine hit it while the music was playing and it wont skip no matter what i do

well your going to have to do some port rebuilding depending on the sub that you put in there not all 12's need the exat same box volume and port area etc. and boon is right a 9512 would kill all of the others that were mentioned but there alot of $$$. what kind of am are you running exactaly

just one question why are you stuck on 12's and your dp will get alot louder than that Dp's will take around 2500 watts of clean power. im not saying dont get the HDC3 but the Dp will take more power than the copper coil HDC3. and the DD9512's are pretty pricy. dc xl's wouldent be a bad option tho

im indifferent on this i have no alarm system on my truck and im yet to get anything stolen (knock on wood) but the only stickers i have on my truck are an alpine stars, bass member and an Fi sticker on the center of the front winshield

i realize that ive tweaked my enclosure about 10 times now and i gained 4 db now im doing a 144 on 1 bl 12. its good enough for me considering its a reg cab
